🏕️ How DWeb Camp is being built in Berlin 🪩

🛸 One month ago, we boarded @c-base.org and started the incredible journey of bringing DWeb Camp to a new continent!

Our Wendy Hanamura wrote the story of what happened, sharing the path leading us and @dod.ngo to Alte Hölle on 8–12 July 🏕️

After a 4 weeks residency, I managed to put my feet into the Pacific. This month was a nourishing experience Vancouver @z-space.ca @dwebyvr.org @atmosphereconf.org and @bmann.ca, who made all of this possible 🍫

Finland announces migration of its rail network to international gauge The Finnish government announces the migration of its rail network from Russian gauge (1,524 mm) to international gauge (1,435 mm) from 2032. The change aims to improve military mobility and regional ...

Finland uses “Russia-gauge” rails. They are going to move to European compatible rail gauge for their own resilience.

This is what we should be thinking about for moving to open social away from American platforms: it should come with significant spending commitments & is absolutely necessary.

Next up is an interview with @em-m.bsky.social discussing how her community uses technology to augment what the actual important thing they are trying to do: community gardening.
