Every time I come here to post something, I scroll my feed first. Then I end so upset at the state of everything that I close the tab and sulk. I just wish things could be better for everyone. I never know what to say that's useful to add to the *hand waving*

I get boo-ed out of the kitchen in my own home anytime I have celery with peanut butter. Is it really that repugnant?
It is SO satisfying when you retain a lawyer and they respond to sender on your behalf within minutes of you getting an email, saying that senders are basically being idiots. I feel validated.
I can't believe January is almost over. Between getting ill, dealing with legal shit from several provinces away, managing the kiddo's first high school exam season, it's been a rough start to the year.
Still nothing compared to this time last year. Just trying to live moment to moment.

So happy to see Consume Me nommed by so many of the IGF juries! Congrats to that team, it's a game that really left an impact on me and I've been thinking about it since I played it. It's really an incredible treatment of a challenging issue.
And it's done. Insta and FB are deleted. Four years since I left Twitter. Thirteen since I left Livejournal. Always sad to leave what was once a happy, healthy community. But freeing to erase that digital footprint 😅
Happy new year! I'll be mid-air when it hits. Sort of. I'll jump from about 11:50pm to 12:50 am as I skip timezones on a redeye. 2024 can see itself out.

I know I'm close to the ending, but I'm going to hold off for the launch to complete it because I am SO invested in this world they've created, I can't wait to see the final version.
I love that's slow peaceful exploration that reminds me of Eastshade. But with tile placement like Betrayal at House on the Hill. But it's a roguelike that depends on getting the right randomness. But you can impact future runs like Rogue Legacy.
And then hoping that I'll get the right room in the right spot, with the right inventory objects, with enough keys and enough gems to make it far enough to discover something else that's new.
Now that IGF judging is up, I just gotta talk about the one I couldn't put down: Blue Prince. This just hit all the right buttons in my brain so I didn't want to stop playing. Just. One. More. Day. Another new room, puzzle, letter, mystery.

Next, Room 1015's Cherry Punk (specifically extrait de parfum). My only full bottle purchase recently. Cherry and leather, like girly cocktails at a dive bar. It just makes me melt.
