Happy National Pet Day!

Our best boy greatly enjoyed his first transit ride on the now defunct DC Streetcar back when we were getting footage for our Transit Tragedies video on it.

Frequent and reliable transit and bikes supported by comprehensive and safe lane networks can help to reduce the pain caused by rising and volatile gas prices. Transportation freedom isn’t just a matter of convenience or preference, it’s a matter of national security!

When we did a similar post exactly a month ago, gas was ¢60 cheaper!

Just FYI, nobody was killed. Three people were hurt but nothing serious (at least as far as we know). The restaurant was thankfully closed so no one was inside.

Also, the crash appears to have been caused be a car driver t-boning the bus into the building.

Oh, how was our day? Let us explain why we need dedicated bus lanes for the next 45 minutes!

We need more young people all over the country to run for Congress, state legislatures, city and county council, and all the other offices out there so we can make our leaders look more like the country!

WMATA is 50. The median age of the House is 57 and 64 in the Senate.

While age can bring wisdom, and there are plenty of great older people in Congress, it shouldn’t skew so disproportionately older. About a third of the USA is over 50. Congress should not be the inverse!

We had a blast today at Metro’s 50th birthday! It was awesome to celebrate a system which should be a model for more cities and regions across America!

This is proof that when advocates for good transit and urban planning show up and keep the pressure on, the NIMBYs and the heel draggers don’t stand a chance 💪

The LA Metro K Line extension has been approved unanimously after supporters packed the hearing and demanded the project not be delayed until the 2040s!

While an exact start date is still unknown, advocates hope work can begin within the next few years.
