As much as enjoyed my time with I couldn’t get myself to finish Infinite Wealth. Too much going on, too many characters, no real focus on anything, and the plot was just ????
Magpies in the garden absolutely tanked my cat’s framerate.
Breaks my heart to share this, but today is my last day at The Verge and I am looking for work! I'd really like to stay in video games, preferably in some kind of journalistic capacity but I can do PR/Marketing and maybe even a lil Narrative Design. Please get in touch!

Samus must get fed up of being the chosen one for basically every single civilisation in the galaxy.

“Oh great, you’re here. Finally. We’ve got a load of shit we need you to sort out for us.”
The HORSES fiasco has finally got me to work out how to run games from itch.io on my Steam Deck. Turns out it’s really easy! So now I can buy more games on there and fewer on Steam! Thanks Valve!
If I was less shit at the fights the pacing would probably be even better! But I actually really like noodling around with strategy, retrying turns and such, and sometimes surprising myself with a killer outcome.
I really love the pacing of Demonschool so far. The balance of talky bits and fighty bits is spot on. It feels very respectful of the player’s time - it’s rare to play an RPG that feels meaningful in 10-minute chunks the way this does.
"an absolute no-no" okay I thought I was using hyperbole in discussing how people talk about this stuff but fuck me. Every time an intentionally disturbing creative decision raises controversy, it's like "wuh oh. :/ I guess they didn't realize how this looks to Normal People. Whoopsie-doodle."
Congratulations - been on my most-anticipated list for ages, and I’ve really dug the first couple of hours. Looking forward to playing more!
Congrats on the launch everyone! Got my copy ready to go for later.
This post is old as heck now but with Demonschool currently downloading on my Switch 2…is this on the cards at any point or…?
Happy Demonschool day to all who celebrate.

TWO WEEKS UNTIL DEMONSCHOOL
Alongside Elemental Flow's demo release, I wrote a short blog post. Given how Argentina is doing at the moment, I think it's useful to think about how things could be, in ways that still resonate with the soul of the city (at least my experience of it).

I love maps in videogames. Any game that lets me scribble on maps and cross off objective rules, as far as I’m concerned. I’m realising more recently this is a pillar of survival horror games, which is probably partly why I vibe with them.

It's that time again, folks. I have been told I will be let go from Heart Machine next week. The people there have been amazing friends and coworkers and anyone else who has been affected deserves all the love and support.
I will be updating my portfolio soon; any Env Art leads would be appreciated
GHOST OF YŌTEI does some interesting stuff with the frankly tired AAA open-world formula. The first big thing it does is completely remove any sense of narrative urgency, which to me has always been the most jarring thing about these games.
