I saw a live birthed harbor seal pup for the first time in my life today. I thought it would be horrifying because I have a weak stomach, but it turned to UNGODLY CUTE very fast!

Using this thread for some moments in the minutes after. All shot on my z8, edited on phone for now. 🦭 šŸ¦‘

> holy cats, human!

This might be my favorite exclamation I’ve ever received. 🄹 Thank you.

I WAS tempted to torch the entire project and/or apartment.

But I’m kind of amazed my little
immersion circulator actually managed to heat it enough even over that time.

I should update you! It took seven hours in a giant camping cooler, stirring and tearing my hair out, to go from cream-colored to this precise greyish thing, but I DID IT AND I AM NEVER DOING IT AGAIN.

I'm in this group! I think this was my favorite panel at Dragon Con this year.

According to Dragon Con, 110 students followed me out of the classroom today to sing in Ghor in the halls. Goosebumps!

I hope some of these wonderful beings see this.

I sure did! A bunch of people took pictures with me, but I forgot to take one of myself. Oops! I will get back in it tomorrow when I’m finished with my Andor costumes. :)

T-4 hours to Lang Belta class! Watch me level up my teaching difficulty by wearing Drummer's incredible 25kg exoskeleton.

The #DragonCon student crew is always the very best of the best, I'm so happy to be back. See you soon in Marriot M301!

When you register your name in the Icelandic phonebook you can choose to state your profession. And they have a pretty loose definition of what exactly a profession entails.

This person for example has opted for ā€žĆ¾jóðhetjaā€œ. It means ā€žNational Heroā€œ.

Watch, The Expanse… please 🄹

One of my all time favorite Sci-fi shows! I finally got my friend hooked on it and I must continue my mission to get others as well 🫶🤭

Okay, I feel better having let that out.

Back to my own sewing project, which absolutely might come out hideous, but at least will be made out of somewhat logical materials and not make me feel like I’m being forced to cosplay as the grocery bag of grocery bags under my parents’ kitchen sink.

Horrific thought: Are they… making these women make their own concert outfits at home? Surely not, but now that I’ve said it, I can’t get away from the idea.

Would explain the wildly varying hems, and why none of these stretchy-looking dresses seems to have met a serger.

but then why literally underline all the chests? Whyyyyy?

But at least they all have perfectly matching pearl necklaces (that look like cheap party favors against the white, and are the perfect length to sit weirdly and highlight creases).

But back to the snark, WHY MAKE THE GIANT SLEEVES SO SHORT?! Now everyone’s mix of Apple watches and hair elastics is just highlighted against the white, they have to worry about what their hands are doing, and the varying sleeve length is yet another way to miss cohesiveness by a mile. Whyyyyyyyy.

The performers from the first image, seen from the side. The cropped top portions of the outfits are all hanging at different heights and angles on different body types.

Oh NO. I didn’t think these could possibly get worse, but the design from the side is just plain mean.

There’s no attempt to look uniform on the diversity of body types, and the mess of tents/awnings/tarps REALLY draws the eye… oddly.

Now I just feel bad, wearing this would make me feel terrible.

A group of people in their aforementioned dresses get cheerfully out of a golf cart on the Temple Square grounds. The full outfit is visible, with white skirts reaching almost to the ground and closed-toed black shoes sticking out.

Wearing flimsy white lace-trimmed camisoles pulled way down over the hips under every single shirt was very much What The Cool Modest Girls of Utah did in the 2000s, so I can’t say they’re failing at brand recognition here.

But THOSE HEMS. And the (almost?) matching skirts! Most cursed layer cakes.
