Currently traveling at 315 km/h across France. The TGV is an amazing means of transportation, but the Wi-Fi just plainly sucks it's insane.

Please understand.

I somehow have a hard time believing that a CMS that's 100% written in TypeScript, that has nothing to do with WordPress and that's not compatible with WordPress, can be called a "WordPress successor".

This is just another CMS.

Oh yes. This is going to be a good day.

I've had mine for the same duration and even without being able to charge at home (rental, not financially interesting for me), it's still so much better than my old gaz-powered car in every way. I usually charge while I'm at the gym so it's transparent, and still cheaper.

Fierté du jour : avoir fini Celeste. 💙

"Oh, looks like you haven't used that app in the last 2 days. Let's log you out just because and force a tedious login screen with a mandatory 2FA we've chosen for you. And then we'll spend the next 14 screens on a non-skippable onboarding process to show off the enshittification of your app. Yay!"

How was the transition? I tried using biome on a Vue.js project last weekend but it was not as smooth as I thought it would be.

Nothing beats working on a fresh personal project. Taking the time to do things the right way, pondering about the best approach and architecture, considering new tools. Then you realize you're in for months and months of work, you're tired in the evening and you'd rather play Arc Raiders instead.

@schier.co finally took the time to update Yaak and all the nitpicks I had about its icon and not being able to add it to the favorites are gone. Also, it starts SUPER fast now. Yay! <3

Yeah I was just wondering if there was a feature I was missing 😊

Last time I tried it, it did nothing more than using VS Code as a markdown editor. Are there features that you like in Obsidian you think I wouldn't get using a regular text editor?

I just don't have the option. Right-clicking the app icon doesn't allow me to add it as favorite, and I can't drag it to the left to add it with the favorite apps.

Oh btw on Linux (PopOS/Gnome, installed from .deb) the app can't be added as a favorite in the dock and the app icon looks to be low-res. :)

Off the top of my head, I'd say pre/post scripting (even though I must say your implementation of request chaining is really clever!), and I'd fancy being able to test response outputs. Plus a few beeps and boops here and there, but so far it feels really mature and stable!

Spent the past two days playing with @yaak.app and I'm in love with the simplicity of the app as well as the openness and love for the craft its creator is displaying. Can't way to continue checking it out to see if it'll fit my workflow. Lacks a few feature but so far I'm loving it!

As a customer, "lifetime license" makes no sense. It looks like a cash-grab for a software I'm not sure will still be alive in three years. It made sense back when we were paying for full-fledged software, but I'd rather have a subscription that makes sense for me as well as incentivize the dev.

Google search: "is it 2025?"
AI answers: "no, it is not 2025, the current year is 2024, according to a calendar"

It just boggles my mind how a company like Google can publish code like this and just be like "yea lol it does that sometimes" 🤡

This is not a nuanced question. It's literally what you'd ask a patient to check for brain damage.

Totalement d'accord.

One of the worst trend in web design has been the two-step login form. I can't figure out for the life of me how is that an improvement over displaying two fields to a user and their password manager.

That's a bold choice and I'm sure it's going to ruffle some feathers, but hey at the end of the day the most important thing is consistency.
