Bullia is an incredible animal. They also use the waves to surf to the stranded jellies using their broad foot. The wave comes in and they emerge from the sand and march over and start eating!

Fossil bivalve (clam) shells preserved in a 125,000-year-old fossil reef near Cockburn Town, San Salvador Island, The Bahamas; one of the shells has a perfectly circular hole near its top, which was drilled by predatory moon snail & thus was the cause of this clam's death.

Great to hear those fond flashbacks came back for you! While here I always keep an eye out for drill holes in both modern & fossils molluscans, & am always delighted to find them. Here's one for you in the Cockburn Town fossil reef (~125 kya) accompanied by other shells.
