I quit my corporate job two years ago to make games, and I’ve just released my first game! It's a Windows 95 themed automation game where you make PowerPoint factories.

Check out Factory 95 on Steam. #gamedev #indiegame

I just uploaded one of many small game prototypes I have been building on Itch! I love the esthetic and feel of old games and I wanted to make a minimalistic game that scratches that childhood nostalgia!

Play it on itch here:

Trying not to post political here for the most part.

But the thought of every halfway decent world leader just rotting together and cutting all ties with the US. Just ripping off the band aid. We could be done with this.

It would be the sane and normal thing to do. It's insane it's not happening.

The whole thing was inspired by this art I stumbled across a while ago. Arguably I'm skimming a little too close to the reference. I'll make sure to work on more original art next.

Hope they don't mind the faux pas in context of a wee little learning project.

First time dabbling with quote en quote real game dev (outside Dreams) in a long while.

Coincidentally, also first time dabbling with pixel art in even longer.

Making something simple for starters, just to get used to the tools and learn GDScript.

Same, A4 was so sturdy with the full plastic casing. On top you have tech influencers telling you the aluminium cases are much better because they feel more premium or something

A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)

More context on this #Artemis II image:

* This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right

* The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon:

Somehow only now stumbled across this game.

What a beautiful game! Colour palette, dramatic shadows and lighting, the clean vfx, everything goes so well together, very pleasing to my eye.

Anno 1800?

Was there two years ago. Still felt a little crammed to my taste, lots of exhibits with little to no context or room to breathe. I understand some people just want a gallery of "military stuff".

Starting to warm up to this game the more I see of it.

I think they nailed that sense of speed you don't really get from other racers.

Wonder if my assessment is actually fair and how I'd like the books if I read them again. I'm not a big Warhammer head, so also totally possible I missed a lot of nuance.

Been 15 years since I read these, so my judgement might be off. But I think I remember the author tip-toeing around some interesting moral/ethic questions while being a lot more comfortable describing combat scenes and politics.

Also, love the little music that is there. Not just the diegetic bits. I think it's a good soundtrack overall.

Definitely on my list, although I haven't even made it to the RAF museum in London, yet, to my shame.
