Same goes for all pro sports, especially football. People complain about the league or the teams, etc. but the league could literally burn down their houses and murder all their loved ones and they’ll still be tuning in weekly because they’re addicted and need their fix. Nothing will ever change.

The company won’t change, sadly, because the fans will still come back every week. “This sucks! I’m done!” Yet we see the same people back online complaining and tuning in weekly, buying the merch, and so on, and making excuses for why they do so and whatnot. They’re addicted. It’s like a drug.

You brought a family back together. You’re wonderful. ❤️

If they or anyone else chooses to reward you, please accept it. You deserve it. It’s the world’s way of paying you back for being good people. Plus, you did miss a show.

Pretty much all conventions in my area plan way in advance and will either hire an artist for cheap or have one of their many volunteers whip something up. Or no doubt they could find a decent artist who would trade their work for a free pass if they didn’t want to spend cash.

One of the best times/promotions: McDonald’s also had large fries/drinks for $1 on their $1 menu while having Best Buy pull tabs on most items. Guaranteed minimum prize of $1 Best Buy gift card. You could eat cheap and buy so many DVDs, games, etc. Regularly pulled $5 and $10 BB tabs, too!

I can now say that I got to experience Police Story with a big crowd (who loved it) on the big screen alongside my family (who loved it). A lifelong dream come true to experience a Jackie Chan classic this way. Impossible to describe my journey with him and what this means. 🥰

I’ve told my family that they’ll be having their lives changed tomorrow night. They see a certain movie for the first time ever, and I see it ON THE BIG SCREEN for the first time ever! I never thought I would get to experience something like this.

I think it was Crystal Kwok who doubled for her during those scenes where you don’t see her face. She also played a cop in that movie, and she played Jackie’s assistant in Dragons Forever.

Can we please get Florence Pugh to be in one or both of these, please? It’ll help the world heal. ❤️ 🐻 #FlorencePugh #Paddington

If you ever hear what sounds like a very long rolling thunder when it isn’t raining, check outside. I did once and my neighbor’s garage was on fire (which caused the back of our house to catch fire briefly). Sometimes, nearby fire will sound like a neverending thunder.

No worries! Thank you so much for the awesome info! That’s really cool to learn about this. 😊

And now that I realize it, I do remember him doing this bit of an accent in the shower scene and such. 😂

Many fans agree, even though it’s excellent. The original HK cut at 105 minutes flows a bit better. It has a new, also awesome theme song “I Need” under the outtakes.

Other trivia: Notice how Maggie Cheung doesn’t face the camera often in the finale? See the outtakes to see why. Ouch!

Enjoy! 😊

Trivia: When PS2 was restored years ago, the extended Japanese cut was mistakenly chosen. It runs 122 minutes and is usually the one you see on streaming and 4K/Blu-Ray disc. The outtakes on it also have the same theme song from PS1. So, if you feel the movie is a bit long, you aren’t alone…

@dylancheung.bsky.social Hi! Would you happen to know anything about this? I saw a screening of “City on Fire” and found it very interesting how Chow Yun-fat pronounced “no problem” in Cantonese.

My mom started watching more foreign movies with me in the past few years. It’s been one of our main bonding things since Dad passed, especially. But she seems to have taken a liking to CYF. She also likes Jackie.

(Chow Yun-fat first appears on screen in “City on Fire”)

Mom: (whispers very quietly) Oh, look! It’s him!

(after the movie)

Mom: That was a really good movie, but why did they have to kill off that handsome man again? They need to leave my pretty boy alone.

Re: “City on Fire”

I’ve seen a ton of Cantonese movies. I’m used to hearing “no problem” as:

“moh-mon-tie”

However, Chow Yun-fat said it many times like:

“mau-min-tee”

Is his character using a different dialect or something? I found it very interesting and am just wondering.

Re: “City on Fire” screening.

Unlike the other HKCC screenings, this one was presented with HDR, so it looked incredible! Not sure if it was Dolby Vision or HDR10 (theater is DV equipped), but the colors popped! Audio was absolute perfection, too.

Absolutely loved “City on Fire.” It was Shout’s version. Had their logo and the HKCC logo before the movie, too. The subtitles had zero errors but appeared in a different font than usual screenings. Looked smaller and like the iTunes size/style, but with no black box around them.

Is there such a thing as too much Chow Yun-fat on the big screen? No? Good. Heading out to see City on Fire for the first time ever and what a way to do it! #ChowYunFat #CityOnFire

Ever since I was little, Jackie Chan has always brought me joy and inspired me. And his birthday being just a few days, year and all, before my dad’s always made it extra special. Happy Birthday, Jackie! Wish you many more and much love! 🥳🎉🎁🎂❤️ #JackieChan #HappyBirthdayJackieChan

Ooh, when 88 put out “An Autumn’s Tale” a while back, that one sounded really good. I might have to pick that up. 😊

Related and also annoying: doing that to try and get a follow from someone you often interact with. You’ll just annoy them. If they want to follow you, they will. They have their reasons. It doesn’t put you in their good graces, that’s for sure.

Mom: I really liked this! This movie (The Killer) was so good! The main actor’s a really good actor, and he’s really good-looking, too. He’s been in all these movies we’ve come to see. What’s his name again?

Me: Chow Yun-fat. We are seeing another movie of his on Wednesday.

Mom: 🥰
