I think the slumlord is trying to take petty revenge on my namesake by signing her up for a bunch of bullshit. I’ve asked a few of the salespeople to cancel all appointments made and tell the person to pls leave me alone 😭 is there anything else I can do? It doesn’t go straight to junk 😭

My suspicion is that this all stems from a years-long conflict between a slumlord renting out a knowingly dilapidated trailer and a former renter who was lowkey maybe hoarding animals (who has my same name). They were duking it out in a public Facebook group for the town in Ohio.

HOWEVER this time it’s a very concerted effort! It seems malicious cuz it’s just SO so so many emails for local services EVERY day. A flooring company emailed confirming an appointment, with an address listed. I googled the address plus my name to see if anything came up. And omg something did!

My email is my firstname.lastname at gmail so it’s not unusual for me to get other people’s emails. Fundraising for elementary school kids, receipts for car rentals, a random Catholic Church contacting me about bible study meetups. For the entire 20 years I’ve had the the address.

I don’t know where to post this but can someone pls help me idk what 2 do. Someone has signed me up for ~20 emails, including home services quotes, student loans, weight loss courses, all in a specific region in Ohio. They’re mostly semi legitimate companies, with real salespeople following up. >>
