It was an honor working with @cnee-colostate.bsky.social Acting Director Suzanne Tegen, Amanda Ormond of ASU's Just Energy Transition Center and many others on CNEE's virtual "The Evolving Electric Grid" Academy. We shared info about the evolution of the grid & what it can mean for coal communities.

I was hoping for a couple electric vehicle ads at the Super Bowl. Instead, we got Bad Bunny doing a halftime show about the electric grid!
Good trade IMO. Climate and culture on America's biggest stage. Read all about it: www.climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/bad-bunny-...
Let’s be clear: when the Trump administration kills or stalls energy generation projects, that’s the White House choosing to make your electricity more expensive. Americans deserve better.

Halloween Reminder:
Don’t dress up as a Native American or wearing costumes based on stereotypes of Indigenous cultures. If you're aiming for a clown costume, stick with that, no need to involve cultural appropriation.

Excited to see this new organization #CommonCharge. The value of distributed resources goes unseen.
COMMENTARY: If this was happening in another nation, we'd call it by name. It's authoritarianism.

Just beautiful!

On 8/6, Tucson leaders all voted to shutdown $3.6B data center proposal known as Project Blue after public outcry about massive water use (1040 af/yr) & electricity needs (500 - 700 MW/yr @ full build out). Same day, APS reneged on its "firm commitment" to net zero energy. Industry not listening.

From me: ‘At this treatment center, Indigenous men support each other in seeking health care’
This was suppose to come out at the end of June for Native Men’s Health Month. So much was going on and the fires broke out on Navajo Nation, that I finally finished writing this last wk.
A town tried to heal racial divides. It energized Confederate supporters instead.
Navajo Power Home is planning to electrify 5,000 homes in the Navajo Nation, with financing support from @climateunited.bsky.social — but those funds are now frozen.
"They want Americans to be prioritized…well what about the first Americans, the ones that were here, the indigenous folks?”
Thank you for sharing your call and for talking about the mess you are dealing with as well the love and loss you are feeling. We have a lot to say to our loved ones and some of it is messy. Not many reporters would open themselves up and model that. Thanks.
The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?
