I also think he will manage at the top level one day, but I don’t think we are currently the club willing to wait for him to get to that level.

I am genuinely sad about, but it looks like he has lost the dressing room. And ultimately the financials of the situation will catch-up with him. Replacing the manager is cheaper than changing half the team. At this rate I am not sure he even survives the season.

Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?

Glad we've cleared that up. Let's hear no more about immigration and refugees then.

It reminds me so much of The Wire: a commentary on systemic social ills through the prism of a world we do not know, with its own language, but characters so real that it perfectly shines a light on the subject. Like The Wire I am also sensing themes to the seasons (last one gambling, this one sex).

Lovely stuff from the subs/ byline editors here so that ‘MAGA world heads left’ is the top line on mobile. Nice work.

I do like the implication all fascists have micro-penises though. Would explain a lot.

Ministers coming out to bat for a Prime Minister, despite a critical error of judgement backing a crony, whilst wishing not to criticise radical right-wing groups. This could be five years’ ago. No wonder the charge ‘they are all the same’ cuts through.

Biggest issue of the day: the silence coming out of Number 10, other than Twitter posts about immigration, despite the owner of said platform inciting the overthrow of the government at a violent rally yesterday.

You have power to do this, Kevin. Introduce a private members bill. Get support from the PLP. The vast majority of the country cannot understand why the government is paralysed here. We want action. This is the change we want.

When Ted Heath sacked Enoch Powell he was acting in the face of a majority in favour. Harold Wilson backed him up and called the speech “evil”. Long past time for Keir and Kemi to do the same.

Disgusted to see this beautiful landscape ruined by wind turbines.

Why allegations of BBC bias on Israel are becoming hard to reconcile The BBC is criticised—from both sides—for its reporting on Israel. A kind of groupthink is setting in that means there is no room for new narratives

It is close to an article of faith for some that the BBC is biased against the right, Brexit and Israel. But @arusbridger.bsky.social asks: is it, really?

Feels a no brainer to have him Rice and Bellingham as the midfield 3. So cannot wait for Jordan Henderson to lead us out in the group stages of the World Cup.
