Aye throw in the Panama Canal and renaming Gulf of Mexico to provide justification for the control of those trade routes. Definitely about the control of non-renewables and trade routes. He's not even trying to hide it.

Bonkers that this guy is talking about his concerns on grooming. I only found out today his father Errol Musk did exactly the same thing with his stepdaughter. Isn't that a culture of grooming?!
Usually involves a barbie, prawns & pavlova in a park or backyard. If you're lucky you have a pool and/or air con. Increasingly advertising has an Aussie bent. E.g. Santa in board shorts and kangaroos instead of reindeers. There's also Aussie versions of Christmas carols. youtu.be/OnJ8jsw4BSo?...
@blindboyboatclub.bsky.social you asked about Aussie Christmas on a recent podcast. I'm from Australia but been living in MCR the last 14 years. In Oz it has all the tree, lights & decorations traditions. But Christmas Day is wholly different.
Ridiculous but true. This speaks to me.
A bluebird on a wooden post in the right of frame, facing left. The background is blurry autumnal yellow. The bluebird looks stalwart in the face of some unknown force or threat. Or maybe he's just anxious. Who can say? Photo by me, Chuck Wendig
In an autumnal yellow tree, a cedar waxwing perches -- leaning forward -- on a lower branch, what may be a yellowjacket wasp pinched in its beak. In the upper right is a harder-to-see waxwing, too, mostly concealed. Photo by me, Chuck Wendig
Close-up portrait shot of a tree-concealed Cooper's Hawk. The hawk is facing up and to the right, its eyes a golden-orange hue. Can only see half the bird -- upper half, obviously. The bird looks vigilant. Or maybe constipated, I dunno. Photo by me, Chuck Wendig
An absolute borb-shaped birb. This bird is a gray junco, and it is perfectly round and fuzzy and looks like a dumpling, but don't eat it, it's not a dumpling, it's a bird. White middle, gray upper, tiny beak, beady black eyes. It seriously doesn't look real. It's on an evergreen branch with a little pinecone propped next to it. Photo by me, Chuck Wendig
The world may be bad but at least we have birds
*buries you in birds*
p.s. don't forget, alt-text is good, turn it on to be required in your settings, thanks
By seeBangNow Panel 1: A person's hand reaches down to pet a cat, but the cat is clearly uncomfortable and says "PLEASE RESPECT MY PERSONAL SPACE." Panel 2: The same cat is being petted again, but this time it's arched its back and is hissing. Panel 3: The text "ALSO CATS" appears at the top of the panel. Panel 4: A person is sleeping peacefully in bed, but a cat is curled up on their head. The cat is purring contentedly.
