One of those books where it's really hard to leave everyone's company by the end because you've grown so attached to them. #IHopeThisFindsYouWell #NatalieSue

I'll suggest that, thanks
My poor wife currently has a stye under her eyelid that's so big it looks like she's gone the distance with Apollo Creed.
My wife was super pleased with the card I got her.
Bought this for £1 in a church book sale this morning. Original printing of Presumed Innocent, a book I dodged school PE classes in order to finish because I was so taken with it.
I was reminded of it after rewatching Star Trek IV in imax yesterday and seeing John Schuck
Genius. "She was out on her fannnnnyyyyyy..."
I miss the days when a TV series would explain its premise in the opening titles.
One of my favourites is: "We went to sleep 20 years ago...and we woke up with a brand-new show."
It's marvellous that Neil has made it through to the end. Each update, I've worried about him. But his is a real story of resilience.
No one can turn the channel when Kindergarten Cop is on. No matter where you are in that movie, you have to stick around to the end. #MrKimble
The dad of every 80s' kid watched this.
And every 80s' kid in Manchester went on a school trip to Granada Studios Tour and sat on the House of Commons set.

The next series of Grace should see him solve a case that takes him to several different countries. And they should call it Grace across the World.
The Jeremy Brett-starring Sherlock Holmes series is now being uploaded to ITV's Drama YouTube channel #SherlockHolmes www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWd0...
Yeah there was weirdness going on with the labelling on the screeners and everything got out of sync. It wasn’t helped by it coming out of the scheds for sport. I’m back on track with the issue out tomorrow but the copy will be the same as last week. Apologies for that.
Bad news: my son has fallen and needs an x-ray on his wrist.
Good news: this book is in the hospital waiting room.
Rooster is getting a season two - good news for those who enjoy life-affirming, middle-aged-dad comedy dramas. (Me, basically) #Rooster
I enjoy that one as well. Not as much as What's New, but it comes close. Yet you can't stream it in full anywhere, I don't think. Not without paying extra for it on Prime Video anyway.
In the new issue of Radio Times - which is a Kids' TV special - I managed to get in a recommendation for The Red Hand Gang in my selection of archive picks... #TheRedHandGang
Are you slightly too young to have caught them first time around?
Yes, I've booked to see IV, V and VI, as I got to see Motion Picture, II and III relatively recently at the Prince Charles. First Contact has sold out but I'm umming and ahing over getting a ticket to Generations.
Thing is, I do like it! Mainly because of the feelings it brings back. But never mind. At least I have my IMAX Star Trek screenings to look forward to at the Science Museum.
I'm a BFI member, queued up like I ought to, but it was stll all sold out by 12.18pm. All I wanted was one ticket. But hey ho. There are bigger problems in the world! #DoctorWho
I didn't even get a seat. It had completely sold out by the time I got to the front of the queue.
Stop scrolling and post 2 characters who bring you happiness.
Yeah and it doesn't help that the one straight after Q Who has the Pakleds as the alien species. And they're so unremittingly annoying. Shades of Gray cannot be salvaged but I guess every show of that era had a flashback episode of some kind.
It is the best of times and the worst of times. On the plus side, Q Who. On the down side, Shades of Gray.
New series of #Grace starts at 8.00pm and #Grantchester fans are going to be feeling very conflicted...
Here's my pick of the day from Radio Times
I've spent today in the company of this soul-burnishing book.
When Lucy Mangan starts writing about the pleasures of spending holidays in Norfolk in secondhand bookshops, I felt she was writing specifically for me.
Definitely one for those who find peace within the pages of paperbacks. LOVED it.
A hectic week at work, but two podcasts have really helped me unwind and made me smile: John Thomson gleefully discussing board games on @scarredforlife.bsky.social and Samira Ahmed's lovely archive interview with Barry Cryer on @squarewindowpod.bsky.social. Thanks to both shows for the uplift.
The pricing structure of HBO Max feels needlessly complicated. Can't help but think that punters are going to be put off by all these ads/no ads, "not all movies are included", download limit options.
