I know a lot of folks have been asking about the US release of The Burn Line, and I've only been able to answer with an enigmatic smirk. Well no longer - behold!!

I don't know how to communicate in written form the horrible little sex-noise I need to capture the character they've got me playing, so lets go with "eeeuuhehhh..."

Based on how good MOONFLOW was, you need to get up on this thing right the fuck now.

Thrilled that this project I've been working so hard on is finally out. Introducing From The Library of Jurgen Leitner is the first novel set in the Magnus universe.

It's been a pleasure working closely with @penguinrandomhouse.bsky.social to bring this multi book project to life. #newbook

I get that it's a a later-game one, so they've gotta get through it quick, but I swear I'm like "Thank you for your professional assistance in this quest" and he immediately goes [Halsin romance +70]

Nah, man - got a lot of time for Halsin and I'm no stranger to "bearing with him" as it were, but the guy is actually kinda needy.

To be fair, the sleep-murder and knife-fight are pretty straightforward too. She's an uncomplicated lass, is our Laezel.

Every time, man. I'm always like "this time perhaps I will see Gale's romance..." or "I think this character might pair well with Karlach..." But then the moment Laezel is like "you smell good I will be needing your body" I'm like "damn straight you will."

People acting like we don't live in a world where The Da Vinci Code was a bestseller for years, decades before AI. "Most people prefer simplistic garbage to difficult art" has been a known fact and a cultural battleground for most of recorded history. No-one's actually discovering anything new here.

I know I see to just be constantly yelling about different projects or books or Magnus things at the moment, but if you've still got any money left and like to spend some time cracking mysteries...

Normally when I say "my good friends at..." its authorspeak for "an organisation who I've exchanged three pleasant emails with", but I can genuinely confirm that the people who run WEL Books are *super lovely*, and this is a great way to support both them and me!

"Oh, I guess I'm not allowed to write about race/gender/queerness/etc cause I'm white/cis/straight/."

You are allowed to, but you didn't do the homework or answer the questions thoughtfully, so you failed the test. Now take your lumps and do better next time (or in some cases just fuck off)

The thing is it's not that hard to understand: "you can write about whatever you want, but people are going to judge you on the how well you wrote it, so you better be certain you're going to do a good job because if you don't people will rightly give you shit for it. "

Yeah, for some reason the colour of Sonic's eyes is just not something I've ever thought about. Wasn't in the fandom when the change came down. If you'd asked me what colour his eyes were I'd've probably been like... Blue? 'Cause he's blue?

To me it read as:
Enemy creature has weird mind powers + Sonic goes inside the creature + disorientation + eye colour change + ambiguously sinister "never felt better" + word MONSTER in the title of next issues = Sonic has OBVIOUSLY been mind-controlled or corrupted somehow.

Just been having a listen to this @chrismcfeely.bsky.social and, in defence of @demontomatodave.bsky.social, as someone who's never read these issues before and is only now learning about the green-eyed Sonic change being a thing. I did 1000% read this as a Mr Hyde situation.

Not sure, I'm afraid. I don't know much about the production side of it. I will say there's no new content in it - it's us reading old statements and doing a bit of a live Q&A - so it'll be a real good time for folks that can make it, but nothing to have big time FOMO over.

Me? Check.
Alex? Check.
Reading some statements? Check.
Chatting some shit? Check.
When and where? Check.

Ok I checked and its yes to all the above in Sheffield on 5th July!
