Turns out Norwich makes rather nice Onigiri when you aren't looking for it and find a surprise little cafe, it is so much nicer when its made fresh and not out of a packet at Tesco.
It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon and a birthday.

This is why I like pokemon card collecting, its not about the values or investments but.... the friends we have made along the way.
Today was a good card day, I have found some forever cards for my pokemon binder including the full art Rowlet from Perfect order that I had no luck pulling, an japanese Igglybuff card and this amazing Latias flying into laundry art card.
Didn't even go to a card show - It was a bootfair.
Bone Deep: Been a real long time since I came back from an Empire with this many torn up Traumatic Wound Cards.
Shall we just say that being a battle mage meant I did more than my fair share of 'Floor inspections' and I used up all of my potions healing both myself and my friends.

It was grim and dark and it had its own music score. Had depth and didn’t need to jump scare us to be ‘scary’
And then somehow the crew called in a storm making the trees angry and tents sad but lent itself to portraying the horror at Winter Sun camp 31 ‘Auburn Mesa’
Camarilla - Final Nights
We fought to rescue the Malkavian Elder Nox whose Haven was attacked by the Sabbat, won the fight and ended the Necromancer who took down our Prince. I earnt Triumphant for the 1st time for completing a Blood Hunt.

Awwwwwh yis. As you can see we've been playing since 11pm last night but I am so thrilled about the collectors edition box that arrived this afteroon, been getting these since Pandaria and this is so darn cool - Now I have my own lil' light up Dark heart.

A day of good vibes, sports and boasting with an Urdrevan feel to it. Topped off by a surprise invasion of Compysaurus eggs to send everyone out into the garden hunting for them. My favorite part was having my own map room to military captain at.
Empire: Military Council Retreat
It wasnst a retreat, nobody ran away- There were some amazing talks held by Military sorts, Stories about worth by tiny camp fires, late night drinking and good vibes all round at this small player event.
Absolutely would go again and stay up till 3am every night.
Modern Nights Cam woke up from Sleep for 2026.
We had a lively game of low humanity monsters locked behind wards, A demon fight that almost cost Smiling Jack the Malkavian (and greatest Hacker) his unlife.
Thankfully the cavalry arrived to rescue him before the demon got him. A good game was had.
Made a cute little card vending machine!
It came with a Japanese construction kit that uses no glue and you poke all the parts you need to slide it all together. I have never been so pleased with precision cardboard as I am right now.
Just need to tinker to make it vend smoothly. Was fun tho!
Memories in Green - An Empire Player event.
Been struggling with larp and its been rough start to 2026 but I am reminded that the game is good and the people are better. Had a lovely time and Alex/Rykana was in the winning team for the fighting tourney. I was on hole patrol as the drawing shows.
Mega Evolutions arrived...
I was so lucky to get a Gardevoir etb box on pre-order but less lucky in my pulls from that box. What was delightful was sitting in the shop on release day and being with other collectors opening their boxes - the occasional cheer and flex was actually wholesome vibes.

My travellers Cache went out again for MF4 and it looks like we had some amazing visitors check it out. I saw at one point some folks threatening the box with weapons so I am glad people enjoyed visiting my small hidden treasure.
Deffo gonna be back next year.

Hosted a little event with some silly social games for the court of Norwich, took a moody photograph and saved a Werewolf?
All in all despite lower player numbers due to a last moment date change, I would say we held the line and made a good event.

Hidden somewhere on Haven this little travelling, traveller shrine had its own mini adventure at MF3, filled with goodies and a small notebook those who found it were invited to take a thing and replace it and sign the guest book.
It will be back for MF4.
Its Blackberry season... a little early than normal.
Ive been mopping up bowls of Berries this week from the back of the garden using the ancient nettle crushing rake bridge technique. Its a good year for them and they are especially nice with an mango ice lolly.
Brought my Trade folder to Empire larp.
Had a lovely time swapping cards with other pokemone enthusiasts. None of us are really big collectors but gosh we love the cards that we do have.
I am especially pleased with the Gulpin cake card that I swapped thats a forever keeper for me. Would swap again.

Today we appreciate these little round potato beans in all their glory - These are my two Zakalwe and Tito. I love them very much as they have gotten me through some pretty dark days by just being round and wriggly.
They will absolutely do crime for a lettace.
Another great game of Final Nights Norwich this month.
Tried a new outfit and had an amazing encounter set in Norwich Cathederal with a group known as the Choir wanting to find sanctuary in the court and then later negotiating the return of the Prince of Paris's ghoul that we had totally kidnapped.
While Im at it, this is my Event two Empire haul.
Not so many things as I would like but a friend did get me a copy of the looking glass because I am a very long term fan of the magazine.
That at the bottom is one of the seven different musical chimes we had to find in our Day realm treasure hunt.
And yes that is my one and only cow wane!
Empire Event two
I had a good weekend with a mission to save the White wood in Skarsind through the power of music, we went on a treasure hunt to collect chimes, learnt music, had band practice and I even learnt to conduct an orchestra.
Fourty musicians gathered in the regio and we pulled it off!
Dune Awakenings - Moss and Newt Adventures
Got a new game to run around climbing things and getting covered in sand. So far after day one of early access its been really good.
Really enjoyed climbing around in the fire cave, didn't like the eyeball puzzle spice huffing experience. Want to play more.
Norwich that was ran at the weekend.
It might just be another Darkages Vampire game but it is ours and from what I can tell even with a fierce Earls election under a new system folks had a really good game.
Missed one encounter I'd have liked to run but its waiting for October now when we go again.

Norwich Gaming Festival - My first Card fair.
Found the magnum opus of Pidgey cards at the fair and though its over my card budget, the lady let me do a part trade and some coins to bring it home for my pidgey collection awwwww yis!
Note: I didnt go too mad on buying pokemon cards.
Mucking about at the local fighty larp Shattered Worlds as my character 'Sygne the very strong' adventuring around the UEA campus woods which looked gorgeous again even though the bluebells are all done with for the year.
It was really nice to hang out with larp kit with friends.
