This week we highlight a recent publication.
Which looked at differences between Arctic charr morphs in two lakes. They found that corresponding morphs between the two lakes had similar shape. Some morphs had similar genetics while others did not.

Depending on the project, there are different ways to age a fish (species-by-species basis) where measuring scale and otolith rings are great examples. That can, for example, provide information on growth rates and life history traits

What is Electrofishing?
Electrofishing is a fishing method which uses electricity to catch fish. It is a common method used by scientists when doing surveys as it does not kill or harm fish. The fish can just swim away when electricity is turned off.
