Planning for Framework Programme 10 is underway. Europe will need to be ambitious in the scale of it’s investment, broaden opportunities for industry and societal involvement in research, and importantly support the commercialization of successful research outcomes. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Having an opportunity to teach and demonstrate is a fundamentally important part of the career development and education for a postgraduate researcher. I find it difficult to understand why these opportunities are so difficult for universities to provide

Interesting article. Hydrogel ‘droplectronics’ as an interface between electronic devices and human cells and tissue, allowing controlled electrical stimulation, biosensing, even chemical release to change cell function. Lots of exciting medical device possibilities!! www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
Beautiful 😍
Happy thanksgiving to all who celebrate 🦃
Exciting research targeting immune cells called eosinophils that can contribute directly to symptoms of some types of asthma and COPD was more effective than standard care for flares AND better quality of life. Hope this can be adopted 🧪
1/23 Big news for the #ObenaufLab! So excited to finally share our new study providing another puzzle piece, why immunotherapy fails in many tumors, now out in @Nature 🧵👇 www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Good luck!
LLM will likely become a useful tool to recognize and accurately diagnose/classify tumors from image data. Makes me wonder about the potential of using retrospective data to learn’ how to recognize tumors at a very early stage such as from endoscopy data.
A great resource for anyone who wants to generate high quality graphical abstracts and schematic figures in a manuscript or even for presentations.
Fascinating. One end goal will be the development of an accurate digital twin of the human body. One that takes into consideration factors such as gender, age, and disease status. It will be transformative for developing advanced therapies and understanding the complexities of disease.
Well worth a read.

Reminder for scientist: don't use red+green LUTs. Make your images and videos colorblind friendly. Run them through one of many tools available to make them accessible 🧪 #microscopy
It is now!
Interesting study that highlights the potential and of course possible pitfalls for ai in education and reeducation. It also shows the importance of being open to voluntarily engage in conversation and debate to learn and reconsider previously held views. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
Thought provoking and well worth a read. A good case is made for some joined up thinking between industry, the university and healthcare sectors to drive innovation in therapeutics and medical devices. academic.oup.com/brain/articl...

Stunning 🤩
I was lucky enough to be at the All Ireland final today. What a wonderful display of skill, pace and shooting accuracy by both teams. #camogie is in a very good place with the quality of players and games this year!
