They forgot what made their cinematic universe work and started making the same mistakes as their imitators
For a moment it looked like James Gunn had picked up the ball they dropped, but then Peacemaker Season 2 got derailed by Superman tie-ins and forgot to have a proper ending
I think they recently said they want to do more She-Hulk so you may be in luck
But I think the issue is not the lack of new heroes, but that those heroes are quickly abandoned or set up plots that might not ever go anywhere.
It's not like the early phases all building a tightly woven meta-plot
Some of the shows are atrocious. Nobody should watch Secret Invasion, even if that was so bad they basically decided to pretend it didn't happen.
Moon Knight and Daredevil are far better, but one problem with that many shows is you don't know which are required to understand the movies
It's slightly less embarrassing I guess. Not that it's a high bar to clear.
I meant Infinity War, then Endgame.
I'm straight up not watching a 4 hour movie in theaters though. MCU doesn't get that kind of trust after Eternals.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't think Bethesda promotes its individual writers the way an Obsidian does. I couldn't tell you who Kirkbride is or what circles they're famous in.
I mean, he was writing anti-objectivist critique and objectivism is very pro-capitalism so I see how he kind of had to get there even if he maybe wasn't thinking of it in those terms.
True enough
They're less required than watching Netflix Daredevil, even if the Hawkeye-Echo arc for Fisk seems like it should've been major character development for him.
But yeah, this is a whole other level of homework
You don't want to follow a dozen Disney+ shows just to figure out if Hawkeye (2021), Echo (2021), or She-Hulk (2022)* contain vital information you need to understand the movie status quo going forward?
They probably won't, but those three did set up parts of Daredevil: Born Again (2025-2026)
Just release a goddamn short on youtube, Kevin. You need to build actual hype for a movie that just looks like a desperate gamble at this point.
If all he's got is nostalgia bait for a film from 7 years ago, he could at least do a double-feature with Infinity War to kind of disguise it.
Ken Levine you can at least call ambitious, even if its ambitious in a sort of Zack Snyder style over substance sort of way.
But a Bethesda game with an ambitious story? Or even one with like a distinct style other than "don't bother with the main plot"?

I remember people being so desperate to find reasons to hate the coolest moment in a star wars movie that they got theatres to put up signs saying the audio cutting out was intentional.
What if we tell people a clear stylistic choice resembles a mistake? Will it stop being breathaking then?
While finishing the second piece, I made a slight rework to the previous one by adding Kabru!
Just a random drop after a long time! (Do you remember me ?)
Finally here's the girls team from Dungeon Meshi!
Enjoy ๐
A caprine figure stands center frame at a harsh top-down angle. They stand on a chessboard with fallen pieces, surrounded by blood as rosepetals fall from above. They have a smug look on their face, wearing a king's crown and throwing up two "horns" with their hands and sticking their tongue out. Checkmate.

This song is so perfect for her style!
Its not a nice or an easy thing to say. But the rest of us are also stuck on this ride, even more helpless than you. So all we can do is say it.
But its also unimaginably terrifying to live in the places the US is bombing right now. And they don't live in the same country as the guy ordering the bombings.
So I don't even think its a question of if you're resisting, so much as a reminder: this only stops if Americans stop it.
I think its not that we don't see resistance. America's insanely visible right now. Its that we see the whole thing, including the docile sheep, and the complicit parts. Its all equally America to us.
Even so you all have my deepest sympathies, and it seems unimaginably terrifying to live there.
That is the most American thing I've ever heard in my life

This image of home just came down from the Artemis II crew.

This game is why
You'll be fighting against a loosely D&D 3.5 RPG system and an extreme lack of being finished, even with the restored content mod. So although it's the Watchmen of Star Wars and the best written entry in that franchise prior to Andor, it'll be a struggle.
I experienced it via let's play.
