Ever since my postdoc days at RIKEN BNL Research Center, where I met wonderful Japanese colleagues and friends, I’ve wanted to visit Japan.

Now it’s finally happening. Just boarded flight to Osaka - spending the week at Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics. First time in Japan. Excited 😁

Theoretical physicist Zhongbo Kang receives Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award The award honors Kang’s contributions to high-energy nuclear and particle physics, particularly his work on quantum chromodynamics.
