Warm congratulations @elbohdalkova.bsky.social on her well-deserved PhD achievement!
The online webinar "Environmental Law and Politics between Skepticism and Activism", which we organized together with CELP Cardiff University, featured yesterday Eva Balounová, Jan Géryk, Zdeněk Konopásek, Ben Pontin, David Storch, Irena Šímová and Anna Tószögyová. Thank you!
Our colleague @kulveit.bsky.social cautions that the real threat of AI lies not in dramatic extinction scenarios, but in the gradual loss of human agency. As AI systems quietly outperform us, we may lose control without even noticing.

Despite these uncertain times, I’m delighted to have received a 3-year research grant from the Czech Science Foundation for my project, 'Equilibrium and Disequilibrium Biodiversity Dynamics: Understanding Biodiversity Responses to Environmental Changes.' 🌍🌱⏳
If it is still possible, could you add me? Thanks!
Hi, I would love to be added. Thank you!
