I even like the story, it's nothing complex but it works for what it is. Cortex's subversion of a character arc is really fun. Now with all this being said, I do agree that N. Vetted mode was a mistake lmao
The quantum masks are a fantastic addition to the formula, adding good variety without needing to resort to gimmicky vehicle levels like some other Crash games. The extra playable characters are a great addition in their own right too.
Number one Crash Bandicoot 4 fan on the planet here. The movement is super fluid, and the generous coyote time allows you to do crazy stuff. The level design is tough but never feels impossible, even on a first playthrough.
