They have also whipped us up a social website, tysm @mattgibson.bsky.social & team (you knew we’d have a Matt involved)

yeah that needs some dialing in for sure. We'll get that fixed up!
What would you get if you spliced Peter Gabriel DNA with Talking Heads DNA?

From Gaza to now Iran and Lebanon, Israel is expanding its testing ground for AI-enabled military technology in terrifying ways.

Absolutely incredible.
NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.
Watch with sound on.
It seems to me like a lot of people haven't followed the details of why folks have issues with Substack, and basically assume that leaving the platform for moral or social reasons just automatically means giving up money.
But I don't think that's supported by the actual math.
One thing that's worth repeating: There is *zero* evidence that "substack helps you get readers". The only thing that we've ever seen that helps grow an audience is other authors mentioning your blog or newsletter, which is not the platform's doing. Substack just takes credit for that!
That’s the ballgame for small platforms. For independent forums. For startups trying to compete with the giants. Meta can absorb this. A new social media competitor cannot. Congress doesn’t need to repeal Section 230. ...

What kinds of issues? Adding @surf-support-team.bsky.social to help.
was just messing with @surf.social and it's surprisingly emotional. I made a feed for my local neighborhood and immediately could see local newspapers, businesses, residents, and city govt activity. Its beautiful, and completely impossible on social platforms. You can only do this on the open web.
Filmfeed.surf.social is looking sweet in dark mode.
Love hearing that. Keep me in the loop if you find other things you need.
Panel with Bluesky and Mastodon at the International Journalism Festival
Felix, CEO of Mastodon, and I hope to collaborate more. Mastodon has wide adoption in Europe and 8k communities (servers) running independently. The customization they give communities is inspiring to me. Public squares should be a gathering place for you to discover cozier corners/communities.
Using Surf this tonight? If so, enjoy the new dark mode :-)
how's it working for you now Jack?
@martyjrose.bsky.social any suggestions for Patrick?
Looking forward to this. Send your questions. The NFL draft is almost here!
Love this! Creator AMAs happening in Bluesky feeds made with Surf and available to anyone on the web.
The season 3 finale of Version History is an absolute banger, and yes, it's about rotary telephones. It's also about patent drama and AT&T's monopoly and how one company can come to rule just about everything

Hi Joel, will do!
Seems like the DC media should be asking every rep or Senator who votes for a clean reauth if they read Wyden's letter...
