I’m 36 today and I’ve realized that in the last couple years I have really stopped trying to be something that I thought others wanted me to be and have become my authentic self. It is still a process, but I am no longer apologizing for being me.

Personal accountability is hard, but it’s so very worthwhile.

One of the things I have learned in parenting is that you won’t always be able to control your emotions. If you’re too harsh in hindsight, it’s okay to apologize.
I’ve tried to apply this in my social and working life as well. It’s okay to apologize and take accountability for your actions.
