I mean, I kind of knew already that I would love having @ryannorth.ca as the writer for The Flash, but this first issue exceeded all my lofty expectations. First, it's Wally. And it has all Ryan's crazy science but tossed out the window in Wally's narration. OMG so funny and delightful to the end!
Got my copy of this last weekend. I am binging Sister Augustus stories right now and loved them so much I'm going to paint all my Sisters as Order of the Bloody Rose.
This will be a whole new look at your writing for me and very happy to have a hard cover autographed book. It's so beautiful!
It's kind of sad to me to get this week's Hockey News Power and Money issue and it's twice the size of any issue (including the yearly annual) that's actually about you know, hockey.
Please please please tell me this will mean the return of Flash Facts! I can't see you writing this book without them.
I hadn't been on BlueSky lately and I was wondering if I had really missed anything. I guess finding out the sequel to one of my favorite books of 2025 is out now would qualify as a pretty big miss on my part. Rectified now thankfully.

Speaking of minis, I never thought I would start painting minis, but now I've become sort of obsessed. These are from a game called Middara.
I love HeroForge for making virtual minis. This is Rebecca Drake, star explorer, kind of a sci-fi Lara Croft. I can't decide if I want her unpainted or just like this.

This is super sad news to me. I always stack my TBRs in order from worst to best, and mind you, 'worst' is only relative here. They're still books I read/buy.
Anyway, BOP has been at the bottom of my TBR pile of comics since Issue #1, with that great closing panel I will never forget. Go out big!

By the time I got to my comic store Saturday, all the Red Hood books had been pulled off the shelves, but I still got my copy with The Huntress variant cover. He told me he wasn't going to go remove them from people's pull boxes. Bless him.

One Of The Boys by @dirtbagqueer.rocks was a great read. It's very current and relevant but also heartwarming and positive while acknowledging the bumpy roads along the way. And in Buffalo!
This is one of the most brilliantly written books I've read this year. The dialogue, external and internal, is SO sharp. I wanted to use quotes out of it for weeks afterwards.
Oh man, do I miss Frank Robbins art!
Ohh I can't process this properly. I loved the the Hawkgirl series and @nicoleamaines.bsky.social work on Secret Six has made it one of my favorite books of this year. This should be fantastic!
This Titans Annual is such a wonderful, loving tribute to a character I have loved since she was Wonder Girl in the original Teen Titans. Donna Troy gets her definitive story told in the best way possible by @philjimeneznyc.bsky.social . ❤️❤️❤️
OMG your Dad is Michael Avallone? I don't need to Google his name. His books are right here on my shelves. The first ever Man From U.N.C.L.E. book (and the two Girl From U.N.C.L.E. books) he wrote. That first U.N.C.L.E. book when I was a kid I will never forget. One of the great opening chapters!!

Ahhh I used to have boxes of MTG cards just like that including cards from Ice Ages and Legends and Arabian Nights and the original Alpha/Beta sets. That brings back memories.

A surprisingly good read this week. A one issue one shot with a very noir Maltese Falcon like story. Partner killed, suspicious blonde, coveted MacGuffin, inept minion who thinks he's tough and Sonja seeing through all of it. Very very nice.
I've been loving Tales games since the original PS and Tales of Destiny.

There wasn't really a bad match on the card tonight for WWE's all-female Evolution PLE.
It was kind of sad that all that work that Rhea and Io put into that final match got tossed for the sake of Naomi's (well-deserved) story pay off.
Finally, I can't say how much I love Stephanie Vaquer!

One of many things I love about the new Superman movie is the comics accurate portrayal of Mister Terrific.
AND the fact that, while *I* already know and love the character, now EVERYONE can see and appreciate such a great character. I'm overjoyed that now so many people will know Mister Terrific.
I swear the only reason Trump is talking about revoking Rosie O'Donnell's citizenship is because Roseanne Barr criticized him about the Epstein Files and he doesn't know the difference between Rosie and Roseanne.

In 1979, I was looking for a home computer. Apple? TRS-80? Then I got to try Star Raiders on an Atari 800 and my future was settled for the next 45 years. I still own it today (computer AND Star Raiders).
