Looks mildly interesting but official BSG game projects always avoid making the gritty immersive Viper pilot space sim we all wanted.
The Beyond the Red Line and Diaspora fan projects were incredible. Got nuked by NBC though, you should do a piece on those as well, incredible lost history there.

I recall thinking about who this software was for ...it doesn't have a lot of professional features and the workflow for getting a detailed scene set up for renders is painfully slow.
Yet it's very compelling and despite slow render times, you can get results pretty fast. Can't beat that vibe.

The user interface is both alien from another era and yet quite easy to pick up even for someone who never used 3D software in the past.

Felt compelled to re-install Bryce today, a software I haven't used in years.
It's great for capturing this lost aesthetic of early 3D renders. Quite the nostalgia trip

I'm convinced these lamps only exist to sell AAA batteries.
Finally a second lamp was made after the first caught the eye of a friend.
This one I would say is an improvement over the first, using higher quality wood as well for the base.
Taking inspiration from Japanese woodworking; No glue, nails or screws were used, only tight joints.
The design was done on paper and then in Blender.
Assembly took place over a few days.
Designed a lamp using only materials I had in my workshop.
Like chopsticks from endless sushi orders over the years and a bulb from an old broken lamp.
