augmented reality scene of an artificial dig site uncovering a T-rex skull in a real forest
I sure wish there was a way to pin posts. I feel like it's a great way to see what someone cares deeply about.
Since that doesn't exist I'm going to have to repeatedly post about my augmented reality educational app ARcheology.
Here I dug up a T-rex skull in a forest in Sweden!

it genuinely pisses me off how hard it is for people in society to embrace the creative endeavours they dream of. for the first time in my life i’m not living paycheck to paycheck and for the first time i feel as though i can be creative. imagine the art we’d have if didn’t live in capitalism

Yeah, I just discovered no videos either!
You can add and search by hashtags. But they aren't interact-able as Twitter and Mastodon have.

Lavender in full bloom, surrounded by lush greenery on a partially sunny day
It's getting about time to prune this lovely lavender! A lovely addition to the balcony, but it will come back stronger next year :)

Screenshot of game in development showing a bird selection screen. A chickadee is selected.
The menu also shows a description of the Chickadee.
The description says "The Chickadees are a group of small North American birds. Their name comes from the alarm call which sounds like "chick-a-dee-dee-dee".
This particular one is coloured similarly to my (the developer) local chickadees"
Just found out BlueSky doesn't allow uploading of videos!
Today I've been working on refactoring and adding effects to the menus to make them more satisfying to navigate.

I finished The Word for World is Forest by Ursula K Le Guin.
My god it’s incredible. I will have to spend quite some time thinking about it.
Amazing how in the 70s she predicted “soyboys” would be a derogatory term used by “alpha males”.

no dumb questions!
Exactly that, you reply to a post you're interested with an @ to the bot, to remind yourself to revisit it later.
Maybe it was a long thread you wanted to read, maybe it was a link to an article, maybe you wanted to write a long reply and just didn't have time immediately

Weekend project: I made a reminder bot for Mastodon. Works great and makes me wonder why reminders and subscribing to threads aren’t built into more social media platforms.
Should I look into porting it to BlueSky?

I have created ARcheology - Dig Up History. I am currently bootstrapping SpreadShare.ca.
I also dabble in gamedev
I aim to post and connect around business / tech, but I also love making games, sewing, gardening, skiing, climbing and lots more. Recently trying out CNCing, to see if I make a toy.
