I found it the other week in Wapping, then dropped and lost it, it survived 30 tides lodged in the mud until it was finally relocated. Here is how it was found today

This is a silver groat from the reign of Charles II (possibly James II, the face has worn away) that was repurposed by in the C18th as either a pub “slap” token or a ‘love token’ - the initials either refer to a pub or a romantic interest
