restitution was part of the deal reached during mediation. the merrimack 4 are jointly liable to pay $95,645 to the victim (elbit systems, the israeli weapons manufacturer that provides 85% of the israeli army’s supply) through the DOC

one felony charge that was dropped early on was sabotage, in a never-before-used NH defense sabotage statute. the state dropped the charge once they realized it could only be applied in a state of emergency

two of the co-defendants, calla walsh and paige belanger (w/ matching NH state motto “live free or die” tattoos), are comrades + best friends. they see their plea deal, which reduced the 5 felonies they were facing to misdemeanors, as a victory against state repression
