Why do some politicians feel the need to lie or demean their opponents? PP could simply say that he disagrees with PM Carney’s economic policies. There’s no need for him to be disagreeable. But Poilievre, being who he is, always chooses to attack the person rather than focus on the issues.

Maybe I'm a little sensitive because of the craziness in the US, but why does Air Canada's security video aboard their Montreal-Paris flight focuses on Disney World and not Canadian landmarks? I'm certain we have things of value to showcase in a video. @aircanada.bsky.social

They speak to whomever is listening. Gladu used to speak to the Reform crowd; now she’s speaking the Liberal language. Who knows, as a weathervane politician, she may even end up adopting the NDP’s or the Bloc Québécois’ values.

It's a sticky plot, for sure.

Library on Quebec-Vermont border gets new entrance after U.S. limited access for Canadians The century-old library in Stanstead, Que. that straddles the Canada-U.S. border now has a new door so Canadians can get in after the U.S. limited entry to the building last year.

The Haskell Free Library & Opera House in Stanstead have their new "Canadian" door. The bldg is a heritage site so the plans for the addition were in the hands of the QC Govt. The only input the library had was to pay for the almost $600,000 cost. Ribbon cutting in June. Time for another donation.

I bet PM Carney will get many questions and push back from party members because of Marilyn Gladu.

While progressive democrats called for Trump to be removed from office, democrat leadership called Trump sick, but haven't explicitly asked for his removal. In my opinion, they rather have Trump as president for the midterm. It's political calculations, rather than asking for a return to sanity.

This is the most unhinged statement Trump has made during the Iran war. Whether he's posturing or a sign of an unrestrained catastrophe, it raises real concerns. With many of the usual guardrails within the military gone, the risks feel higher than they’ve ever been under Trump.

Has anyone seen more cowardly people than the elected Republican Congress? As their fear of Trump forces them to do and say nothing, the message they are sending is that Congress is not needed, since it is no longer checking or balancing anything or exercising its constitutional obligations.

Trump is ever more unhinged. Is he talking nuclear bombs? He's asked in the past why the US shouldn't use them since they have them. We live in scary times.

After Trump went on a live national broadcast where he had his "Mission Accomplished" with the annihilation of Iran moment, a US F‑15 jet was shot down, and he's having a hissy fit, threatening to commit war crimes by blowing everything up.

I had the CBC News Network on all day while I worked. I never do that. I think I’m so excited about the launch today because it brings back childhood memories.

I’m so excited about this event. It brings me right back to the Apollo missions, especially watching the last moon landing. I was very young, but I can still remember the family gathered around the old black&white TV.

A strategic masterclass: Iran’s oil income has doubled since Feb 28. We get the battlefield optics, they get the cash. This is exactly what happens when you improvise a war just to distract from the Epstein files. Truly, a “victory” worth paying for.
