🇬🇧While serving in Afghanistan, Corie and his crew were patrolling in an armoured vehicle when it detonated an IED. The blast left Corie with injuries so severe he lost both legs above the knee.

✈️ Jackie Moggridge was from South Africa. She travelled to England to study at Aeronautical college in Oxford, as there weren't any flying colleges in South Africa.
A year later, when WW2 broke out, she joined the WAAF. She then was later accepted into the ATA after a flight test.

Duncan McInnes, aged 105, the last known survivor of the Dunkirk evacuation, has passed away. 🕊️
A Royal Navy telegraphist aboard HMS Saladin, he braved enemy fire on seven rescue missions in 1940. His courage helped save hundreds. Lest we forget. ❤️
