One of my favourite films to rewatch and laugh at how utterly insane it is

Got a Sword of Doom poster printed, and I think it’s neat.

Just finished the new Radiance release of Cutter’s Way. Incredibly thought provoking neo-noir that sets up as a murder mystery but quickly mutates into a study of the post-Vietnam degradation of American society. Gorgeous film with a gorgeous restoration on 4K.
Favourite time of the month
I usually talk about The Radiance Podcast on here but today I’d like to share an exciting project I am working on for my other podcast, They Live By Film. Starting next month we are undertaking the task of telling the story of Japanese cinema one era, movement, and genre at a time.
I will post a link here once things kick off, or you can follow us on pretty much all streaming platforms to stay up to date.
I am really excited about this journey that I hope will be educational and engaging for both newcomers to Japanese cinema, and seasoned ronin.
Each episode will have a foundation of four films from which we will expand to tell a story that not only covers the films that were made, but also why they were made.
The first episode will be rooted in silent cinema, from the era of the benshi through to the start of the 30s.
