Shooting people who are actively attacking you is the opposite of "in cold blood." He faced life in prison, not "no prison time." He was acquitted by a jury drawn from a county that had voted 50/50 Dem/Rep in the prior election, not by the judge.

I would say many people on BlueSky, not most people in general. They're extra thin skinned over here. There are a couple of names that if you merely follow the account half of BlueSky will block you.
I always shake my head when they respond & block so I can't see their response and no one reading their response can see what they're responding to.
For the most part, I'm just trying to let them know they were told a bunch of lies about the case.

Morals are always up for debate. Quite often what moral in one society may be immoral in another. What is generally considered moral at one historical moment can be generally considered immoral at a later point in time.
Whether or not it's legal or moral to blow up drug boats, rather than apprehend them, is certainly an open question for legitimate debate.
Claiming these are "random fishermen" isn't. Fisherman don't operate multi-engine fast boats in the Caribbean. Drug smugglers do.

He did say he was going there in part to protect a business. The word "Black" was never used or implied. The majority of the rioters were white. You can see it in the hours of video from that night.

You implied Rittenhouse was "coddled." He wasn't. He was arrested, jailed & tried.
We can compare this to a recent case in Washington DC, 17-year-old Leroy Dixon. Dixon did spend several months in jail for murder but was released without bail on home detention.
Rittenhouse was arrested, charged, and held in jail for 87 days until he posted $2M bail. Then there was a whole trial that acquitted him based on self-defense. He's lucky each shooting was caught on video from multiple angles.
