I want to put more red on his patterning but I'm not really sure where it fits

Yeah it’s virtually the same I think. Mine has a stainless steel filter (the idea is to reduce waste I guess) but it’s a fuckin pain in the ass to clean, and I feel like it’s not filtering quite well enough so I might just swap to paper anyway
