In this perspective, I think about how Trump's presidency might push us to better understand politics in the policy process.
As always, it was great to work with the reviewers who gave me truly helpful comments that changed how I thought (and wrote) about these issues.
Also, thanks to PSJ!

As @breunig.bsky.social and I find in our book "Means, Motives, and Opportunities: How Executives and Interest Groups Set Public Policy", Parks and Natural Resources budgets at the state level are particularly vulnerable to strong executive actions. Seems so, too, in federal budgeting.
Might as well start over - the player on the lower right has the Chihuahuan Raven in the first egg position.
GAME OVER
(I love this game)
I mean...those demographics of workers are typically paid less so...I *really* don't see how this argument works.
Arguably the most important species in understanding Northwestern US settlement.
Kind of surprised there are any left in Europe!
Vassals aren't succesors. Bloodlines only.
I mean...they do know how Congress works, right? It just takes a simple majority to pass a spending bill on the House (or any bill, if they are reading this), which they have.
Also...Trudeau might see this as a last-ditch opportunity to save his reptuation, party, and maybe keep him in the game.
I mean, doesn't he understand that, as the 51st state, Canada would produce two Democratic senators and dilute a growing Republican House advantage? It would likely make the path to the presidency easier for Ds?
Tells you how deep in the wilderness the party is!

While the pose is meme-worthy, I couldn't help but notice the fit (or over fit) of Schumer's suit.
Cuffs look okay, but pants look too long?
As a federal employee, did Trump also get the "Fork in the Road" email?
I don't have high hopes for that.
New: A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from enforcing an order to halt payments of federal grants, loans and other assistance
Big spenders!
So...is Pete Buttigieg going to go full Obama and serve in the Senate for two years before becoming president?

A student sent me an email reporting back on a bbq place I visited 20 years ago, found another place, and also told me she got into a masters program.
I've never felt more successful as a teacher.
What if we put guard towers at the top of the nacelles? We could tell Trump these are actually a first line of defense against...vikings? Or something?
I'm trying to remind people that Trump is going to flood the zone with stuff, but it is not all equal and, also, not worthy of too much attention yet.
The birthright citizenship thing is good, politically, though for Trump and he'll keep pushing it.
"Did I mention the Department of Government Efficiency has two bosses?"
I'm not sure that I've ever met a McKinley fan, but boy Trump seems to like the guy.
I guess we'll all become McKinley fans as Trump's inflationary trade policies popularize the $500 bill.
Yep, I mean, the headline is "trust down across America".
I still can’t get over the fact that three presidents were born not only in the same year but the same summer. Literally the first baby boomers, as the baby boom started about 9 months after the end of World War II.

Dude is blowing up!
Searched Victoria Spartz's page today and found this...well-crafted...picture accompanying a press release about the national debt. Then I thought about all the newsletters @dcinbox.bsky.social gets to read along with many quality images.
