Of course! If you make it down to Northfield for the book sale on, say, Friday, we could potentially have tea!

Oh bless you! I was so moved that Deacon Bill did it of his own accord!
Ps: @micahcc.bsky.social and Eli are coming to town next weekend for the book sale! Micah is celebrating at All Saints on Sunday.
Men really will do anything except go to therapy, won’t they?

This is how I like martinis!
I also wrote the collect for Edith Cavell (and mayyyyybe Marcella of Rome—I don’t remember. It was late and we were fighting against the clock to get everything in before the committee convened the next day.)

Late to the game tonight, but I wrote the collects for today’s feast of Juana Inés de la Cruz during a late night collect writing frenzy at General Convention in 2018. I just went back to look at the original submission and it’s wordier on the one hand, but also flows better at the end. 🕯️
A Jack Russell terrier bearing her teeth
To be fair…this Jack Russel terrier is just as chaotic as ChatGPT 😂
Sursum corda, absolution during HE, final blessing ('The peace of God' is a pretty standard go-to), some kind of commendation (I like the 'Depart, O Christian soul...' one), and the language around anointing and laying on of hands.
!!!!!!
HIH-luh-rin (the last syllable rhymes with Eowyn); i’m rather convinced this is not the accurate way, but it sure is the way that I say it
Many such cases!
Ah ha! A great parish.
Wait… this is 100% my parish, which made me realize… I don’t know your parish. It’s not mine is it? 😂
I had a half of a tomato in need of rather immediate use and had no zip to make anything other than pizza tonight. Necessity bore brilliance!
Oh, Joseph. Prayers for you both.

I have no clue who this Dale guy is, but I’m sure praying for him to be delivered of that cold, hard, and no doubt shriveled heart. 🕯️
Easter Vigil is kind of like Jesus Christ: The Eras Tour
Did you all know that you can buy heirloom tomatoes from the organic coop, cut them into thick slices, and add them to regular, ol’ frozen pizzas? Not only is it allowed, but it’s so good.
Right on! I love the connection!
Ah ha! Who’s that?
🕯️
It's a wonderful hour and I love my brothers very much. Given the nature of technology—and the, erm, age of the brothers—it is also a hilarious hour with lots of "You're on mute," "Can you hear me?"/"We can't hear you!," and "Father, why are you logged in on your laptop and your phone?"
The North American Province of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd meets monthly for a Zoom call to informally check in with one another (and sometimes brothers from other provinces) in between provincial chapters. On this morning's call, we have brothers from the US, Scotland, Canada, and Japan! 🕯️
I will never forgive AI for introducing em dash self-consciousness to my sermon writing process ⚓
Yeah, same. It’s my version of “I can fix him.”
Just imagine: two medievalists (one proper and the other of the armchair variety) running a B&B!
My current escapist fantasy is being the ‘breakfast’ half of a B&B: getting up early to bake rolls, getting the coffee on, setting out all the fixings for oatmeal, soft scrambling a big batch of eggs, making sure that the table cloth and napkins are tidy, and putting a flower arrangement out. Ahh! 🥰
Exceedingly proud I myself for almost immediately getting a sports-related clue on the NYT crossword this morning.
