Still here! Working behind the scenes to make 2026 the best year for my comic - it's just been a struggle to have the motivation to post. Have a cute Lucy enjoying a coffee.

I love the movie now, but my earliest memory of being freaked out by a movie was definitely that one - something about the villain terrified me

Just started my journey in webcomic making but I'm excited for where this goes! My kids and their shenanigans have only begun.

I'm also brand new to NaniComi - Light of Aluedel was my first read/find on the entire app!

Every Junji Ito anime adaptation showcases how comics aren't some throwaway stepping stone to animation and cinema, and that we should stop treating them as such. Comics, like prose novels, are their own medium that can convey things animation and video cannot.

Grimstone is up on Webtoon Canvas and NamiComi! Every like on the episode gets Cora a brain cell (maybe; the chickens DO need therapy. Close call...).

Next episode is in the works! This story has only begun, and there's a lot of shenanigans to tell.

C'mon Lucy, show some sympathy; poor guy lost all his produce. Confused? Me too, every day. Wish I could help, but all I can offer is my comic full of tomfoolery and hijinks. Check the link in my bio

Born to write and draw, forced to adult.

Excited to jump back into episode production, although the small break was nice. Onwards!

I need everyone drawing digitally right now to stop what you're doing and check that you are inking on the right layer.

Because I was not and I'd like to save you from my pain.

People want stories.

We are drawn to the story in art. We pause and spend time with a painting until we find the joy in each brushstroke. In that moment we see the artist and storyteller like a wizard behind the curtain. That is absent in gen ai.

Go be that storyteller.

Go be human and create.

"Digital artists are shit at drawing and they rely on the tools digital provides as a crutch-"
"Try drawing that traditionally and you'll see how hard art ACTUALLY is-"
"The computer does everything for you and you don't actually have any artistic talent"

I am hitting you with hammers. πŸ”¨

A classic meme format of the man miming "no" and the same man miming "yes" to convey the idea that oval shaped balloons are bad and rectangular shaped (aka "squircle shaped") balloons are good.

Yet another old meme I made for your enjoyment.

I've always hated my art at the lineart stage. Now that my webcomic is finally coming to life, I'm surprised that I don't hate it. Maybe because I can mentality wrap it in color and see the finished piece through the black and white. Any way you dice it, it's a lovely realization of growth.
