I’m mad at them because they have a player called Britta (yay!), but she’s a terf bitch (BOO!).

Worst thing about the pandemic was finding out how many people would say yes.

Hey, fucko (not Dr. Jacobs),

My kid was born with a lifelong illness. So it doesn’t matter if she dies? No biggie?

Ha, I remember this coming up so often in homeschooling curriculum when my kids were younger. Today’s history lesson will not be what’s in the lesson, but rather that you should always question the source of your history lessons. Lol.

No, they have to burn themselves or they’ll never learn.

I think that means parents drink with their friends while the big children parent the small children.

Very strange denial going on here. “Everyone was fine before we started coddling.” Oh, is that why my dad is a raging alcoholic? But kids these days, right?

My oldest had such a severe type (only spoke to immediate family) that it was impossible to ignore and my god, the whole thing was illuminating. Middle had it more like me.

B has whatever the opposite of SM is. lol.

Yes, some level of discomfort is required to tackle anxiety disorders, but it does not work to simply toss people into the deep end.

And no my mother undiagnosed 92yo grandmother is not better off. Her entire social life revolves around her husband. My kid with severe SM got a diagnosis and treatment and now she’s a super sociable kid who enjoys public speaking.

“Kids are getting more anxious”.

Sir, selective mutism can be traced back several generations in my family, but my kids are the first to be diagnosed. That’s not an increase in anxiety due to feminization of therapy. Lol.

I sat down with clinical psychologist Dr. Camilo Ortiz to unpack why modern parenting has become so exhausting-and why it's also making kids more anxious, not less. Dr. Ortiz explains why kids need daily exposure to the four D's-discomfort, distress, disappointment, and danger-and how natural consequences teach better than nagging or punishment ever will. We explore the limits and potential harms of today's feminized therapy culture, and how we can rebuild real-world independence through risky play, mixed-age freedom, and even early work.

Oh, I googled this guy. Found him on a podcast lamenting the “feminization” of psychology. Hahaha fuck you, Dr.

No, she does not like any kind of sauce or casserole. But she will eat any canned legume or raw or roasted vegetable, so 🤷‍♀️.

It’s very weird to me because instead you could have fun discovering what things your kids *do* like so that they can find joy in eating more nutrient dense things. Last night I just seasoned and roasted chickpeas and potatoes and a pile of different veggies and my picky eater was thrilled.

The old guys are gone but now there’s a wee baby and the mom has positioned him such that I am staring at his wee face. Three pretty new moms. Feels like another life for me.

Hmm. What if I steal his tiny socks.

I always tell her that this is just part of being a living creature. We watch the squirrels running around gathering food, and the birds getting nesting materials and I’m like “they’d probably rather just chill out, but they have things they *have* to do” and she likes that reasoning.

Idk it’s very funny to me because neurodivergence is comorbid with other things (like CHD) and my autistic daughter has to do things that she hates all the time just to keep her alive. We don’t have an opt out for that stuff.

Wait - my ND kids are only supposed to do what they want to do? Youngest prefers to just read books and draw pictures all day. I guess I’ll have to talk to her teacher.

Middle kid is just going to be doing bio labs and painting. She’ll be thrilled.

As a neurodivergent mother of a couple of neurodivergent children - lol wtf is this?

Oh, just at home? I tend to do the same thing. Although now with AC I can at least do some things in the house and pretend it isn’t summer.

But yes, it is most horrid to be hot. I avoid it as much as possible.

I’ve sent a screenshot to my kids that they can show their math teachers any time they get something wrong.

Sorry, not “wrong”. “Calculated differently.”

Beer on patio with friends is also good. If one wants to be social. Beer with book on patio if not. lol.

We have moved to discussions of favourite historians? And the one guy is wearing some motorcycle shop hoodie. These guys contain multitudes.

One might say I’m at the hipster coffee shop, overhearing things. Pride flags and such.

Oh, now they are talking about their hunting rifles. This is very Prince George.

I love listening to these two old guys ranting about Trump at the coffee shop. Lol. They hate him.

I hope so. I’m always so curious to see them.

All my dad can tell me is he has a bundle branch block. Well, what side, dad? That’s not enough information. I want to see those QRS complexes.
