Last few hours to back my game SEAGRASS, co-designed with Brett J. Gilbert and published by @bitewinggames.bsky.social.
I'm super happy with the way this one has turned out. Check it out!

Hey artists if you see this post a dog
Hey artists, if you see this, post a dog.
(I think these meeples for Happy Home are the only dogs I’ve ever drawn. Must change that)
A very sensible move. I forget sometimes that words like polyomino and orthogonal aren’t common parlance. Also congrats, that’s a rad project right to have your stamp on.
This is very you. How long before the locals start calling you polyomino man?
Yes, must have been about 6 years ago!

Two colour illustration of Barad Dûr, with Sauron's eye at the top. surrounded with the ring inscription in elvish. the sky is red with sparks and ash floating in the air, the tower is above a fiery chasm. The front doors are glowing red with silhouettes of chains and armouries. A cloud of ash conceals the horizon. This will be a banner and riso print first. Digital prints coming later this year.
Illustration of a paperback copy of Frank Herbert's Dune. It's a 3 colour riso setup using teal, red and yellow overlapping. The title is in white with D and E mirrored and the lowercase u and n flipped. Center image is a big worm with a big blue hallucinating eye at the centre of its mouth with some rocks with Fremen Holding flags and knives in the foreground. it is particularly difficult to draw Shai Hulud without it's mouth looking like a giant butt-hole.
Digital illustration of a The Lord OF The Rings cover. A Nazgûl sits astride its horse between 2 red trees that make a circle. Int he background is Weathertop, the Misty Mountains and Orodruin. Overlapping risk colours - red, teal and yellow. Some mushrooms in the foreground.
Illustration of a cover for THE HOBBIT. View from inside the halls of the woodland elves. A ramp is dropping some barrels. The trees make a circle. In the trees are some elves and spiders. Inside the circle from the bottom is a river flowing through forest. Barrels in the river. The river joins a lake with a floating town, above it the Lonely Mountain, with its reflection/shadow over the town.

A collage of photos and graphics showing various sea creatures in a symbolic, geometric style
Hey #portfolioday
I’m Rory, a graphic designer making games. Here’s some work from an old game of mine called Skora.
Our next game! #abroad
I enjoyed it quite a bit. Felt very 90’s Star Trek adjacent
I had to stop this early due to the recording slowing down my computer, but here’s a bit of a look at how I make the characters for 52 Duels/Adventures.
Pluribus is fantastic. Only one season so far but it’s absolutely worth watching.
New Multiple Win Conditions! Today I’m talking about “Find the Fun”. One of the most common bits of advice I got as a new designer

Graphic showing a printed game sheet on a blue background. Overlaid are face card style playing cards with banners that read ‘The Druid’ and ‘The Trickster’. A title above reads ’52 Duels - Characters 5 and 6 - New Challengers’
🚨NEW RELEASE DAY🚨
52 Duels just got bigger with two new characters joining the fray! Change forms and boost your attacks and items as the shapeshifting Druid, or gift away your cards to your opponent to build big turns as the mischievous Trickster.
Available now for all owners of the game
12 miniatures wearing cloaks and wielding scythes
Trying to find a way of painting the A Song of Ice and Miniatures minis that’s quick but still looks good. Not sure this does either but I’m pleased to be chipping away at them. Need to base these chaps before calling it done.
Yes, though the rank element is greatly abstracted. It’s my attempt at distilling the format into an 18 card game. Not sure if I can get enough of the flavour in but it’s a fun challenge.
I like making games more than I like designing games, so I reward myself with a little art every time I have to build a new prototype.
Cards representing medieval infantry units on a wooden table.
A very ugly prototype but potentially enough here to make it a little prettier and write some rules.
A grungy distressed illustration of a possum's face surrounded by the text "Awesome 'Possums". The text is formatted like a ransom note, with each letter sourced from a different font style.
The design on a light heather grey shirt.

I originally designed for one of my weekly trivia teams. I share it as my #weeklytshirt for any other fans of scrungly little gremlins. danielsolis.threadless.com/designs/awes...
A small blue butterfly amongst some foliage.
Saw a small blue butterfly today and took a photo so I could google what it was when I got home. Turns out it’s a small blue butterfly (that’s the name of the species). Lovely stuff.
Back before the rot, Twitter was a great alternative. I’m not sure if other freelancers felt this pain but I deleted LinkedIn because I had a couple of instances of smaller clients asking me to change my status to employed by them to boost numbers. That bothered me enough to chuck it in the bin.
Farm(?) machinery with the words ‘WILDER ROBOMATIC’ printed on the side.
Some real Simon Stålenhag vibes in the village today.
Thank you Oliver! ❤️
Celebrating some wins today 🙏
A slightly wonky clay mug on a metal turntable
I think pottery has the potential to be my Roman Empire. Loved getting on the wheel again today.
Yep, it’s a big part of the game that can really swing a battle if played well
