Exactly. So this means @socialistsanddemocrats.eu won't vote the US-EU trade which will lock further the EU in fossil energy?
This is one of the most important issues with the global food system, yet it is often ignored.
Put simply, we don't actually grow much *food* in our farms around the world. Instead, we grow grossly inefficient animal feed and biofuels.

The US-EU deal is bad for Europe's transition & energy sovereignty. The EU's promise to buy more US LNG means a fossil fuel lock-in❗
The @europarl.europa.eu must reject
- this climate-killing deal
- Trump's imperialism
AND accelerate the fossil gas phase-out❗

Last night, ahead of the #EUCO summit, protesters projected the words "Trump Tower" onto the European Commission headquarters.
In protest of 🇪🇺President @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu's continued Trump appeasement and the push to scrap EU climate & digital laws at US command.
"The food system is where Big Oil plans to park its future. [...] When fossil fuel prices spike, fertilizer and food prices spike in tandem. The corporations that profit from the system—both fossil fuel companies and the agrochemical giants that depend on them—have every incentive to maintain it."
Why the fuck is this still happening
On the whole, wolf restoration is not doing so well. We see a few advances, but many retreats. France has upped its potential wolf cull to 23% of its total population of about 1000 individuals; this is not progress. 🌍

The Commission has just announced they will immediately apply EU-Mercosur, following it's ratification by Uruguay and Argentina.
❗This is the first time a trade deal has gone into provisional application without the consent of the European Parliament ❗

An Atlantic Puffin stands on a narrow, rocky cliff ledge streaked with lichen and tufts of grass. Its black back and white chest contrast with the pale stone, and its bright orange bill catches the light. The blurred backdrop of steep coastal rock faces hints at a rugged seabird colony, one of the special coastal habitats that provide vital nesting sites for wildlife.
Which is why the habitats they fight to return to must be protected.
Weakening protections for key sites for nature would push our already struggling wildlife closer to collapse.
Yet the UK Government is considering doing just that.
Tell your MP to stop this: action.rspb.org.uk/page/186397/... ‼️
🤯 The MEP Aura Salla, a former Meta lobbyist, will be leading the Digital Omnibus.
The Digital Omnibus already closely mirrors Big Tech lobby demands.
Now a former Meta lobbyist will be in charge of the largest roll-back of digital rights in the EU’s history 😳

Pesticides are becoming more toxic and just about every country is using more of them year after year, despite a UN target to halve the overall risk by 2030
“Oil companies purchased solar and electric vehicle patents to ensure others couldn’t use them, solicited control of renewable markets and then abandoned them, and funded powerful institutions to promote false solutions, all while using trade groups to downplay the harms of fossil fuels”

There are two black houses on a yellow background. One of them is on the top and turned up-side down. It has the text "No to demolition" inside. The other house is at the bottom and has the text "Yes to renovation" inside. Between both houses, there is the text "houseeurope.eu".
Approximately 1.3 million people are currently without stable housing in #Europe. Yet, we still demolish existing buildings, when we could transform them into homes of tomorrow. #housingcrisis

A German soccer federation executive committee member says it's time to consider a World Cup boycott because of the actions of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Very foolish to ratify of the US-EU deal. Why not take what you’ve learnt this week, and start building independence from Trump and friends, rather than continuing to play his games?
