That’s because “AI” isn’t transformative; it is a specialized tool that can be useful for specific tasks in narrow use cases but isn’t useful for most things it is advertised for.
No amount of marketing and money can change this.
Trump called every reporter in the observable universe, who all dutifully repeated his updates about Iran, and all those updates have fallen apart in fewer than 36 hours.
How long will legacy media keep doing this?
With the advent of AI in writing, I want one thing to be clear when you read my work: that I wrote it. I want my fingerprints all over it. I want my own particular neuroses throughout it. The floral notes of my sweat in its aroma. I want you to walk away going "holy hell, Soph definitely did that."
"I'm just gonna say it, Fuck Trump"
"I'd much rather everyone made music as opposed to going and beating the shit out of each other"

Ravid is the most annoying stenographer of the DC press! He makes Dana Bass look like Barbara Walters
Enough nostalgia slop!
I’m completely sick and tired of hearing about HP but this article is excellent.
“What you feel in your heart towards the series is almost entirely irrelevant. What matters is what you do, because J. K. Rowling is out there doing a lot of things.”

My latest Strength In Numbers/ @verasight.io poll found 72% of Americans, including majorities of both parties, oppose sending ground troops to Iran www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-03-26...

GOP: the mail is secure enough to receive your photo ID, social security card, your debit and credit cards, your stimulus checks, and your tax returns
Also GOP: the mail is not safe enough for voting
This plus "-ai"
No justification, no authorization from Congress, and no clear objective.
But none of that matters to Donald Trump — and apparently neither do the safety and lives of American service members.

The 2011 film is better than the book . I found the book hard to follow plot wise. It seem convoluted at times. To me, the Spy Who Came in from the Cold is Le Carré magnum opus, and the film is as good as the book!
OpenAI is a menace. Two recent stories make that clearer than ever.
One day you have Sam Altman denigrating humanity to defend AI. The next, WSJ reveals OpenAI could have alerted Canadian police of a potential mass shooter, but refused pressure from employees. That person went on to kill 8 people.
this is one of the dumbest things I've seen in this hype cycle. The entire thing is literally "what if instead of buying software companies build their own software," an egregious misunderstanding only made possible by the continual lies about what generative AI can do
I’m fairly confident that the people complaining about Bad Bunny singing in Spanish are the same people who think Born in the USA is a rallying cry for the USA. They’re also the same people who don’t listen to the lyrics of the Village People!
The Turning Point USA halftime show makes it clear: our multicultural society is keeping us from watching a guy dressed kinda like Ben Franklin play the violin not particularly well
Pour one out for every professional political pundit, writer, consultant whatever that has spent the last decade trying to pretend that the Trump phenomenon was about trade or opiates and not a big chunk of white america losing its mind over having a black president bsky.app/profile/kyle...
The greatest triumph of Fox News is ensuring that 40% of the country does not care about anything resembling reality because they can dismiss it as partisan hatred. That's a win by itself--but the bigger win is that it forces the "between two poles" addicted media to also deny reality as well.
Jeff Meitrodt More prosecutors leaving Minnesota U.S. Attorney's Office Another eight federal prosecutors have left or announced their intentions to leave the Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. The departures come as the office is reeling from a mass resignation last month when six veteran prosecutors quit in mid-January because of recent directives from the U.S. Department of Justice, including the department’s refusal to initiate a civil rights investigation into the killing of Renee Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross. Among those leaving is Ana Voss, the civil division chief, who was handling hundreds of wrongful detention petitions filed since Operation Metro Surge was launched in December.
Remember that the pretext for invading MN was fraud committed by Somalis (on a scale smaller than some of the fraud Trump has pardoned and/or committed).
Now, BECAUSE of the abuse arising out of the invasion has led ~14 AUSAs to quit, plus ~6 in Civil Rights.

It also ignores the hidden fourth branch—States! One of the main cudgels against Trump‘s authoritarianism is the fact that we are a federal system with states that have autonomy in areas like elections.
Customs: move under commerce, their biggest task is watching for invasive species and sanctioned goods/moneys
Border Service: part of Interior, sole role is passing out snacks and “welcome to the US!” balloons to migrants
TSA: DoT, they arrest anyone who tries to put giant luggage in overhead bins
Trump launched an affordability-focused midterm campaign for Republicans this week, traveling to Iowa to give a speech about how good his presidency has been for the cost of living.
That's going about as well as you'd think. Here POTUS is saying he is going to keep housing prices high.
Carney:
"In a time of rising populism and ethnic nationalism, Canada can show how diversity is a strength, not a weakness... Canada can't solve all the world's problems. But we can show that another way is possible. That the arc of history isn't destined to be warped toward authoritarianism".
Every single "the robots are here" story from CES is wrong
I can't believe I'm posting this video - but we actually have to have a conversation about the real world implications of America going to war over Greenland.
Let me walk you through it. It doesn't turn out well for us.
