I burnt out, so I can no longer think or even remember today’s date. Going offline? Ideally regulation. But go for community empowerment. Engage the children. Make it safe and make it fun to be alive. Journalism as a community and in various offline formats exist. We just need more.

Working in media, I have huge FOMO even toying with the idea of switching off. Is the threat real or make-believe (if being constantly online only damages productivity and creativity and deplete us of energy)?

How can quality information exist and be disseminated without platforms?

Where would you even start with a cultural shift to increased time offline?

What is the risk of alienation (is it actually more; or are we already out of our depth?)

Radicalising myself. Starting to think the only act of rebellion left is to switch off all platforms belonging to Big Tech. Protect our brain power and data. Feels like utopia, and opens up too many questions I see no answer to.

The latest reports on Perplexity merger make me really want to watch an action-packed drama detailing the demise of Google in the last few years. Actually, at this point I’d make do with an entertaining TikTok going over the lore.
