I don't remember seeing an image of Earth before that captures the (thin, fragile, tiny layer of) atmosphere so clearly. I mean, look at that.

It would be nice if all the “children’s safety glasses” on Amazon that didn’t specify their EN 166 rating would ever so kindly get lost

Definitely has the “quick flip renovation” vibes but I can’t imagine how the kitchen might have been previously…!

I’m fascinated by the step up between kitchen and rest of the room (photo 6) - what do you reckon’s going on there??

Almost feels like there was a big central island / table that provided all the working space, and that’s been removed before sale…?

Like there’s a double-doored space opposite that was probably pantry/storage, then really Surfaces are the only big missing thing right?

Still, blimey

I'll just open the hellgates:

look, there *is* an argument that for everyone who can now "make apps" thanks to agentic coding, SOME people will take a look at what's been generated out of curiosity for how it works and SOME of them will end up actually learning how to code... and that is good!

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

“Ok but have you told them that directly and explicitly?”

inspired by CLAUDE.md, I’ve started putting markdown files named after coworkers into work code repos so I can remind them to stop doing shit to the codebase that annoys me

for some reason they’re all mad at me now, which means ill be adding commands to JEREMY.md for an attitude adjustment

Seems unfair that you only get to use the bouncy slide to get off a plane when things have gone wrong. The bouncy slide should be a treat they give to the best passengers who did the flight correctly.

I left university in 2019 with £49,600 of debt. A few months later, I became an MP and have since received a salary that puts me in the top 5% in the country. 6 years on, the repayments from my salary have brought this total to down to £48,600 - just £1,000 less.

My copy of Felix Danczak’s “Market-led growth” arrived!

I’d already got and started the Kindle version when it came out, but I much prefer a physical book for this sort of thing so I can easily refer to bits as needed!

Hah yes I got one and thought it was neat too! Did you take a look at the payload? I haven’t had a chance yet
