Amazing, buses should be a publicly funded public service. But even making them free because of gas prices is like saying cars are supreme and we have to do this temporarily to appease drivers, it's crazy!

I got on a very crowded train at Westlake at about 4:05, got off when the out the first announcement up at about 4:15. Got on the #49 and about a 100 people tried to get on that #49 at Cap Hill station, so I'd assume it's pretty bad everywhere.

A very pleasant, on time, empty bus, all the way until we crossed the next train station where a hundred people tried to get on the bus because the train I gave up on still hadn't moved. (They had by then changed the delay from 15 mins to 35.) Love to live in a country that doesn't value transit. 🫠

The 8:15 bus this morning was 18 min late and wouldn't let us on because of mechanical issue, the 8:35 bus was 20 mins late. 25 min commute took 70 mins. Coming home was on this train 👇 for 10 mins waiting for it to leave before they even put a delay notice up, got off and took a bus.

That exasperated surgeon took one look at my scans, said no surgery and sent me to an OB while muttering that all the people who'd previously read my scans were untrustworthy. I had to demand a pelvic ultrasound. The suddenly everyone was Very Concerned. Bless that surgeon.

I'm so sorry you went through all of this. I went through something similar recently and had a hysterectomy last fall. It was life changing. And yep doctors really didn't listen to me. Gastroenterologist who'd barely met me finally set me for a consultation for bowel resection surgery.

My coworker gave me some that her partners parents brought from China recently. Think very high end oolong.

My favorite, very expensive, splurge bourbon has gone from $50 to $80 and like I'm bad at math but that's like a 65% mark up? A lot of it is my local bonkers taxes, but JFC.

Also I make decent-ish money, at least in that I'm very aware of grocery prices but can still manage to buy most my usual things. But I haven't bought liquor in a while, because I request no gifts for holidays and people buy me liquor anyway. So wow current liquor prices were a slap in the face.

I stopped by my favorite liquor store last night because I was in the neighborhood, and they were playing Gin & Juice and now I can't get it out of my head. But it also had the distinct vibe of hearing songs of your youth on the golden oldies station.
