He was a prolific collector of avant garde Japanese ceramics so I have a soft spot, admittedly.
I think its more a reference to the sense that what is 'created' is simply something taken from beyond the veil, per Jung; it always existed, and we simply succumbed to the compulsion to construct it in our world because we recognized it in our mind/heart and coveted it. We steal from our dreams.
