The line is blurry, but when you get it right, your team (and you) will feel the difference

Teams don’t need “soft"
They need leaders who are kind and clear
Soft wins smiles
Kind earns trust
Soft says yes to stay liked
Kind says no to stay real
Soft keeps things comfortable
Kind tells the truth, even when it’s difficult
Soft hesitates to give feedback
Kind delivers it, straight and fair
Soft avoids the hard calls
Kind makes them, with care
Leaders who value kindness often get mistaken for being soft.
They’re not the same

Which of your beliefs about AI are starting to shift?
3. AI having feelings
Hinton argues that consciousness might not matter.
If AI acts like it has emotions, even anger, we’ll need to deal with that behavior, whether it’s “real” or not.
2. AI takeover
I didn’t think it was a real possibility before.
Now, while still not a given, it feels far more plausible than I was comfortable admitting.
1. Job displacement
I used to believe we’d see job reallocation, like in the Industrial Revolution.
Old roles would go, new ones would come.
That belief feels less certain now.
Hinton makes a strong case that this time, we might not keep up.
After listening to a podcast with Geoffrey Hinton, the “Godfather of AI”, I’ve been grappling with a few confronting ideas.
I get weekly cold DMs from offshore dev shops.
Totally fine. But if I haven’t replied after 3, 5 or 10 tries, I’m not interested.
Want to stand out?
Skip the pitch.
Start with something real.
Say hi. Find common ground.
That’s how you start a conversation.
OpenAI announcement this week.
ChatGPT can now connect directly to your favorite digital tools.
Agents & MCP in practice.
No dev work. Just a few clicks.
I listen to books and like to capture ideas as I go
I’ve tried a few tools. Even built a custom GPT. So far, so good but still not quite there.
I’m looking for something that:
- Works by voice or typing
- Handles unstructured input
- Summarises without losing nuance

Want to unlock speed?
Stop pushing for more features. Start creating space for strategic focus.
What strategies have helped your teams stay laser-focused and move faster?
When everything feels urgent, nothing moves. The fastest teams aren't coding more or building more features, they're choosing better.
They:
- Make fewer & better bets
- Execute with clarity & focus
- Say no more than yes
The real challenge?
Deciding what to build.
But here's the real insight: The bottleneck is no longer engineering. It's focus.
Tech has completely changed how we build software. DevOps, CI/CD, cloud computing, and now AI, have made development faster and more efficient than ever before.
Why your engineering team feels slow.
Every CEO or founder knows the frustration: "My teams are moving too slowly."

Classic build and customers will come scenario. Rarely works.
The real question isn’t how quickly can we get people back? but rather:
How can we create an environment where people want to come back?
What’s your take?
Should companies play the long game with RTO, or is immediate action sometimes necessary?
Rushing to mandate in-office attendance without addressing the real needs of employees can lead to disengagement, attrition, and, consequently, a loss of productivity.
Leaders who think ahead – balancing business goals with employee well-being – are setting the foundation for sustainable success.
That said, companies that take a long-term approach to RTO are more likely to thrive than those that succumb to quick fixes.
Why?
Because culture, talent retention, and productivity aren’t built on knee-jerk reactions – they’re built on conviction, consistency, and a clear vision for the future.
I’m tired of hearing the endless debates about RTO policies and the hard-and-fast approaches some companies are taking.
There’s no absolute right or wrong when it comes to return-to-office policies. There’s only what leaders believe will work best for their unique situation.
Everything with ChatGPT still blows my mind. 😉
Stop.
Gamifying.
My.
Existence.
I hate how Google is trying to turn Photos into a social media app. Just be a UTILITY. Be a good one. Don't ruin yourself.
