Simmons was a secondary coach on Mike McCarthy's Green Bay staff. He also played his first four NFL seasons with Pittsburgh.
Daron Payne on the possibility his time with the Commanders was ending:
“I mean, I’m a hell of a football player. I’m sure I’ll have a job next year somewhere.”
Details on why that somewhere, despite viable cap cut rationale, is likely staying put.
