He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him.

He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons.

He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him.

He’s defying the Supreme Court.

Don’t you see what’s happening here?

Yes, the stock market may be tanking and our national security apparatus has never been more vulnerable and we're on the verge of both economic collapse and war, but it was all worth it to keep pronouns out of email signatures.

Primary Every Democrat It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.

Agreed. We need a new party. newrepublic.com/article/1909...

It’s far too soon to ascribe responsibility for the horrific DC plane collision, but it’s not too soon to say that dismantling the safeguards afforded by a functioning federal government put us at significant risk. And it’s irrefutable that, since January 20th, we are all less safe.

Trump falls just below 50% in popular vote, but gets more than in past elections This year's popular-vote margin is the second-closest since 1968 and still tightening. It shows just how closely divided the country is politically, and that any shift to the right is marginal.

Just a reminder. There is NO mandate. And anyone from the far right telling you that you have to bend because of a “red wave” is lying. Stay aware. Stay active. But no, this is not a blowout like they would have you believe - the cards just fell the absolute wrong way.

The 2024 presidential election was close, not a landslide Donald Trump's close win over Kamala Harris in the 2024 election hasn't stopped him from claiming a mandate.

Isn’t it funny how the U.S. media is suddenly posting stories about the improving inflation picture now that the election is over? 🧐

I was already excited to click on a news story about Rudy Giuliani having a meltdown in court today and YELLING at the judge. But nothing prepared me for the courtroom sketch

I am lucky enough to have an income that is comfortable. And so my FAFO mode about the economy for the next four years is intense. But then I remember it’s going to affect the people who aren’t comfortable, and I’m torn. Will they learn? They will suffer, without a doubt. It all just makes me sad.

I’m lucky enough that I can afford price increases (mostly.) So, I’m in such a FAFO mood. Which is horrible, as the people that this will truly affect, will suffer. I’m stuck between a “you get what you have coming to you” and “I hope you can afford groceries” mood.

Kamala Harris's vote total is now well over 100,000 more than Trump's was in the high turnout election of 2020. Where are the calls from political reporters for folks to understand Kamala Harris's voters?

Two days after my best friends & 47 others were murdered at Pulse Nightclub, Pam Bondi tried to paint herself as a friend to the community. She thought we forgot that, just TWO years earlier, she was arguing that allowing us to get married would cause “significant public harm.”

She was wrong.

Coming out with a new nominee just hours after GM withdrew just feels soooo weird to me. Like, she knows she was second place. Damn. Wait a few days. Act like you just overlooked her to begin with. This is just insulting.

Def will be confirmed. I suppose she is actually decently qualified - but this is even scarier than MG IMO. She will have real power now, and WILL use it.
