Somehow I am on this list. And my office uses AI for part of our function. I'm not a hater, I just want disclosure and regulations. *shrugs* But that's okay. Paint me with whatever brush you want. I don't mind being the villain in your story. It doesn't affect *my* story.

This Is Just To Say
I have turned off
the AI features
that were in
the update
and which
you were probably
hoping
to monetize
Fuck you
they were stupid
so unnecessary
and so annoying
That infill pattern looks pretty weak. Try honeycomb infill for strength.
Don't put your kids on the internet.
You can't control what other people see.
A photo of a raised planter. There are four plants planted in a staggered fashion. They are young but seem happy.
Eggplant plants! (The two on the left were rescued from near death by neglect from my local Walmart.)
I’ve had mixed luck with the Foodsaver one to be honest. The worst cases were when it looked like it had done the thing but a week later in the freezer it was obvious it hadn’t.
Ooooh, which one is it? I am in the market for a new one. My Foodsaver is about toast.
Missed the freebies, bought the set. :D I'm *so* behind on my reading... but hey, I'm part way through writing by book two.
I subscribe to Georgia Tennant's way: Until a child is old enough to understand what having their face on the internet means, (ie: legal majority) they do not belong on the internet. Posting your child's face (or any child's face) is a questionable practice at best. Abuse/prostitution at worst.
Oh I am *totally* talking about teeth. Major design flaw.
Never understood the “design” of parts of our skeleton jutting out from our flesh, vaguely held in place by habit. Seriously poor structure.
Teeth. Enough said.
Writing in emoji hurts my head. Unless it's my sister. And in that case, all we do is emoji at each other. (That reminds me to go throw an emoji at her for shits & giggles.)
I do this with Girl Scout cookies every year!! Pull them out and let them thaw on the counter!
Backyard garden with a small circular ceramic globe in the center, surrounded by patchy grass and stepping stones. A white lattice fence lines the back with planter boxes attached, while various potted plants, garden tools, and decorative items are arranged throughout. To the right, a sloped, wooded area with tall trees rises behind the garden, and a house is visible on the left side.
Backyard garden bordered by a wooded slope of tall pine trees, featuring a blue ceramic globe on a circular base in the foreground. A white lattice fence on the left holds planter boxes and sits beside many planters. The yard contains patchy grass, stepping stones, potted plants, bird feeders, and decorative garden stakes, with a round raised planter near the center and scattered garden furniture and tools throughout.
Small backyard garden setup against a house wall with two windows, featuring two raised black planter beds on either side of a narrow path with stepping stones. The beds contain herbs and small plants, with trellises, solar lights, and decorative garden ornaments. A metal plant stand between the beds holds potted plants, and a watering can and coiled hose sit to the left.
It’s still a work in progress. More work tomorrow.
I spent most of the day in my garden. Spooked a chickadee, who in turn spooked me when she exploded out of the birdhouse I didn’t know was occupied.
I keep seeing "all authors use AI, the real issue is they're being forced to be sneaky about it" headlines.
Full stop No. This is a lie peddled for normalization. It's schoolyard-level pressure tactics "C'mon, all the cool kids are already doing it. We won't tell. It's fine. We're on your side."
People have always discredited creative writing. People who draw can open a commission forum and make some money rather quickly in a fandom. But a writer asking someone to pay for fanfic will get themselves laughed out of the fandom almost immediately.
A screencap confirming a vote for Effin' Birds in the Webbys.
And.... done.
Yeah, it was more a curiosity as to what the answer would be, one of those "all right, let's throw something at it and see what sticks." My sister and I looked at each other, rolled our eyes, and then told Alexa to shut up. XD
Alas! I wonder if there’s an organization in your area that does something similar. Granted it’s a bit stressful on the bird, and those that try to catch said bird, but in the long run…
Oh poor baby!! If he could be caught and handed to my state's wildlife rescue, they'd 3d print him a new foot. They're doing lots of that now, which is amazing.
Right there with you. Holding my breath and praying.
I have listed ingredients in my pantry and asked it what I could make to feed myself. Surprisingly that didn't kill me. But other than that, I want AI to MAKE dinner, not give me recipes.
I just finished chapter 14 of book two. I'm writing it. Not AI. Me. My fingers. My brain. I average a chapter a day, if I'm lucky. AI would have done this much faster.
Just a helpful reminder to everyone: Wednesday is April 1st. If you see a news story or something that looks like a news story that makes you think "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??!??" ...the answer is probably yes, yes they are, that's it exactly.
I am intrigued, and I look forward to a successful end result. :)
Oh I'm so sorry. :( Your use case is not mine so I have nothing to offer you but my sympathies. I like fountain pens but I am not converter compliant *at all.* The only person I know who can reliably use those is my husband.
I believe in liberal use of the block button. No matter the 'forum.' ...sometimes, even the office 'phone.'
Yay! Koko loves those toys so I figured he'd share. :)
