3. Verschiedenen Ebenen leiten den Leser durch die Grafik:
* Auf und Ab der Zustimmung über die Zeit, durch einen einfachen Zeitstrahl.
* Einteilung in Dem. und Rep. Presidentschaften, durch bekannte Farben (blau bzw. rot) und den Mittelwert
* Namen der Presidenten
* Wichtige Ereignisse

2. Der angezeigte Mittelwert wurde doppelt genutzt. Er dient nicht nur die einzelnen Datenpunkte zusammenzufassen, sondern zeigt auch die Länge der einzelnen Presidentschaften an.

1. Alle Informationen um die Grafik zu verstehen ist in der Grafik selbst und wurde nicht in eine Legende ausgelagert. Dies sorgt dafür, das der Leser ruhig die Daten studieren kann ohne zwischen Legende und Grafik hin und her zuwandern.

@zeit.de hat ein echt gutes Grafikteam. Warum? Weil sie Grafiken wie die unten erstellen.

Die Grafik schafft es, die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Daten zu halten.

Ich finde die Darstellung gar nicht so abwegig. Diese Variante folgt eher der erlernten Leserichtung (oben > unten, links > rechts): Erst wenn ich alles aus der obersten Reihe weggegessen habe, kann ich jenes weiter unten essen.

Was nun der Grund für die Änderungen ist, weiß ich aber nicht.

One of the core ideas behind #ImmunoPreCept is detecting the transition from health to disease as early as possible.

It’s like going back in time (<<<) to move science/medicine forward (>>>).

Today, the ERC formally adopted a decision to increase its support for researchers moving to Europe.

On top of its normal grants, the ERC offers 'start-up' funding to help PIs establish laboratories / research teams in Europe.
